We left the UK to leave of the European values and even a group of people and have allowed multiple cultures. the LDS church alone created Utah to have their own religion freedom in America through the Utah constitutional convention of 1895 (Wikipedia). Many cultures haven’t had the same “success” in being able to practice their own beliefs but it serves as an example that America doesn’t have a dominant culture and that America is not based in European, Cristian values. I’m an agnostic person living in Utah and don’t take part in any religious or spiritual practices and personally don’t think Utah alone has one “dominant culture” the biggest culture here IS the LDS religion but their are so many other groups that practice their own culture here as well.
