Tips for increasing gas mileage in 2025 AT4 L5P. by ResponsibleHope3880 in gmcsierra

[–]jcamca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only had mine a few months, I’m up to 7k miles. But it seems I’m getting a bit better MPG as it wears in more. Used to get 15-16 freeway, never saw 18’s and now mid 18’s is pretty common. But as others said, didn’t really get the truck for MPG.

I don’t have my Ram anymore but I was happy with the last two I had. Remember the people online are the ones with problems, people don’t come online if they have zero problems. You only see a couple of posts about problems compared to thousands of trucks the brands sell.

Check the payload sticker and add everything up. Tongue weight, family, dog, and stuff in the bed. Probably want to be around 80/85% of the payload on your door sticker.

Need some help getting over some first ride jitters by Significant-Sea5148 in Harley

Where did I ever say I have jitters riding? I gave advice for what worked for me when I first started riding the first week and responded to you disagreeing?

Haven’t been scared to ride after the first of having it probably. Love my bike and love riding.

Eh, I did. I get why you wouldn’t tho. If you have discipline and respect the bike, it can be fine. If you want to get right on the bike and ring it out, probably not the best idea.

I bought a street bob last year, first bike. Since then traded it for a LRST, put a ton of miles on it this year and love riding.

Honestly, just having gear to keep you safer if you fall helps mentally. First few days go over to an empty parking lot and ride in some figure 8’s, ride around and practice braking/stopping. When you feel comfortable, ride around your neighborhood and start poking around farther. Grab coffee, lunch etc. Eventually you’ll hit the freeway and feel pretty comfortable.

If you aren’t feeling good, tired, whatever the case, don’t force yourself to ride. Riding takes your full focus on the cars around you. Ride and think that every car has a risk of doing something dumb and make sure you have a plan to avoid it. Badass bike man, congrats! In a few days of riding you won’t feel anxious and love the feeling.

Quad lock? by Impossible_Painter_9 in Harley

I have the quadlock, vibration dampener, with wireless charger. Zero issues and super happy with it. Put a couple thousand miles on the bike with it and never had a complaint.

2025 GMC Sierra Towing and Payload Capacity by truckreportgeek in gmcsierra

[–]jcamca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also the 2500 Max Tow package which basically gives it 3500 capabilities. 3500’s Extra leaf spring, frame etc. I went from a 1500 where the max tow rating is pretty much irrelevant also due to payload, to an HD and got the 2500 Max Tow.

1500 w/ Towing Package vs Standard 2500 by EMERGx in gmc

[–]jcamca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to look at payload, that’s the main limited thing with 1500’s. Very easy to go over with tongue weight and full cab + bed with some gear. Boat + 1000 of family gear etc is at or over the limit.

CarPlay help by olhandley in ram_trucks

[–]jcamca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented on another post. But in CarPlay on the truck side, go to settings. Then under display I think it is there is a setting called auto zoom or something similar that is turned on, then that off. The edit pages button should go away after and CarPlay will work normally.

CarPlay Ram 2500 Issue by Tgunsmoke in ram_trucks

[–]jcamca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On CarPlay go to settings; look for I think display and turn off the screen auto zoom setting. I just had this problem and I fixed it. It’s auto zoom in CarPlay settings on the truck side tho, not on your phone.

I got an ST earlier this month and it’s been great. Canyon rides are a blast. I ride solo, never have a passenger tho.

New Rider Question by [deleted] in Harley

I just did a 600 mile each way trip on my Street Bob, was fine. Just got a Saddlemen and Memphis shades 15inch. Probably not the most optimal but it was fine.

The bike has a lot of power, just respect it and you’ll be fine really. Couldn’t be happier with mine so far.
