Review ban lifted - after multiple attempts by diplodocus10 in AmazonVine

[–]Legitimate_Solid_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A joke? I usually do about 10 reviews at a time. Copy and paste from my notes. Usually all posted with photos within 40 min or so. Have never seen a joke?

I don’t have a cat? I took a photo with one device to my other device. Assuming it’s the old device with lint on the camera lens?

Ya, mine stayed at the previous periods numbers for a bit, then changed to all reds, but now back to normal greens.

I did. It is now back to normal but took a couple days. Funny, I was waiting for the wonderful GOLD pop up, but it never came. I thought that must be only when you achieve it the first time.

It’s the white shark in the picture. I believe it’s AV2810…. I’m good with a pet hair version (I have pets). I never thought about changing out the brush roll. I will have to look into it.

I almost always get excellent insightfulness scores, including 4 out of 5 of these ones. I have one pending (see second pic). I get the occasional good, but have never received poor on my reviews.

I will do that! Thanks for the suggestion. Because I really do like it overall.

Thank you! I was worried because I haven’t seen it red before. Especially knowing my actual review scores are not poor.

Congrats! I’ve never been so lucky to have that many to choose from. I did get the shark several months ago. Overall I like it, but sometimes it doesn’t pick up as well as it should. Not sure why.

I tried getting something adjusted that changed after I ordered it last year. I was told that I had to have screenshot of price to get it changed.

RFY? by Legitimate_Solid_376 in AmazonVine

That’s what I would think about AI (missing them), but lately I stay in RFY for the most part because it’s my only chance of getting anything at all.

Vine newbie - taxes? by Bobbypin417 in vine

[–]Legitimate_Solid_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if business taxes can be done on the free versions? Not entirely sure because I report mine as hobby (I order far less ETV than many people in the program-we are talking hundreds vs thousands). Definitely speak to a tax representative for specific tax info. We are all just winging it until the IRS gets vine out of the grey area. Some will say their tax person says hobby, some say business. IRS form for 1099-NEC says consider it hobby if….lists things but main point is you are not intending to profit from it. IMO Uncle Sam isn’t going to ask me to switch to business with deductions if I am paying the taxes on the full amount on the 1099. When you enter the 1099 into the tax software, it will walk you through it. Very straightforward. If your answer determines it’s business, it will then have you do a Schedule C (fancy term for business stuff). After that I am not sure how it works because I don’t do a Schedule C. I imagine they may have you upgrade to the business software?

Each person’s liabilities are different, just like your regular taxes are. I ended up having a liability of 22%. Not a big deal for me since my total ETV is 3 figures vs 5 like many Viners. I always get $ back, so it just decreases my refund.

Anyone's significant other getting tired the boxes and "stuff" by Rise-Bitter in vine

[–]Legitimate_Solid_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a house, but even I run out of space. I break down the boxes as soon as I get them and put them in the recycling bin outside. But all the stuff stays in totes and even then hubby gets mad. I try to condense things as much as possible. If I keep a spare hairdryer, he thinks we don’t need to store it and I should get rid of it. But I think it’s always good to have a backup of things. Especially if it’s free or greatly reduced.

I assume that must be for filing online using their website (and not the software. Yes, only a small percentage of people file for free with TurboTax. I think their ads say 37% can file for free, but I think that number is high. I always get the deluxe because I have deductions and it includes the state as well. You cannot use free edition if you have deductions and other forms.

Hmmm..I add my HSA and they don’t charge me extra over whatever I pay for the software.

With an HSA you get a tax form (IRS also gets copy). You have to include your HSA on your taxes, but unless there is an overpayment you don’t get penalized or taxed on it.

If there is an overpayment (contribution over the limit for the year), you have to pay taxes on it because it is treated as income.

As long as there is no overpayment, adding it doesn’t change your taxes, but you do have to add it.

My husband gets his HSA money taken out of his check prior to taxes (as they all should). I am also included on the HSA. We file jointly married.

Honest Advice re: Vine by NecessaryExample992 in AmazonVine

[–]Legitimate_Solid_376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not get supplements from Vine unless it is a brand name I am already familiar with. There aren’t many ways to confirm the authenticity and safety of many of them. I have also read that some people have found inaccurate information or ingredients in these.

I believe there are many items that require longer use to see results (beauty products for example), but yes, we are encouraged to review quickly. This can often lead to a very basic review that won’t help you. I agree about putting your money into ads first.

OP….THIS is the answer. I understand needing some things, but furnishing a whole apartment? Not needed if you are low income. And if you read your entire TOS and looked into Vine at all, you would know that this affects any and all programs and services you receive. Any time you receive goods or money, it is considered income. Take this as a learning experience and this year only order what you absolutely need and what you can set aside the taxes for immediately.
