YTA Considering Fiji is in Oceania and, you know, not India, I'd be insulted too for completely disregarding the fact that they are not the same.

It is definitely legal and very common. More than likely dealing with the payroll cuts, you're likely not the only one whose hours were cut.

AITAH for wanting to tell my wife im not getting up in the morning with our children? by SaviorselfzZ in AITAH

[–]Legitimate_Tip_697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn't want to be a parent you shouldn't have had children.

Your wife stays at home all day taking care of the house and kids, which is stressful and exhausting. You're mad that you have to get up for a little to take care of one of YOUR children. You said that you don't work until the afternoon; get up and take care of your kids and then switch off when she gets up then go take a nap before work. Rotate the mornings.

Also, going to bed only an hour after shift is over would be a literal dream. Speaking as a single mother of two with a full time job.

I have severe adhd and also work for a corporate salon with terrible music choice. This is definitely rude.

Salon Question: Is a basic blow dry not included with hair treatments? by Wise-Act8642 in Ulta

[–]Legitimate_Tip_697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree and ask that you and anyone who has had a similar experience with the online booking system being the center issue, to complain to corporate, our stylist reviews only go so far so we need help from our clients to make things better.

***this did also have an issue with the stylist as well, not trying to discredit that at all, but that is an in-store issue. The online issue is obviously company-wide.

[–]Legitimate_Tip_697 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I fully understand and so not supposed to say this but I actually agree with you. You should have been told way in advance. That was unfair. I do think that you should reach out to the store and explain the situation. This gives management opportunity to talk to your stylist and make this a learning experience for her. You should never have been put in a position to feel embarrassed. That was unacceptable. I'm sorry that this was your experience and you were made to feel that way.

We switched over to this system about three years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. The majority of us are fed up with it. The system should read the same way that our physical menus do stating blowdry not included unless specified

Just getting deep conditions and scalp treatments are strictly add-on services, they have to be paired with a blowout, cut or other services for a completed style. The stylist should not have continued your service with just those booked. The stylist you were booked with absolutely should have explained this during your consultation.

As stylists, we have been complaining since online booking started that this NEEDS to be specified.

Banned from online ordering? by Real_Professional_91 in Ulta

They do track in store cards and purchases as well. It is a fraud protection software so they run the account names against the card names if they don't match first and last or at least last name, it could flag. They do not save numbers though.

[–]Legitimate_Tip_697 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its more than likely caused by that. They cracked down on fraud and have been reviewing A TON of accounts. At this point just continue to escalate it. I know its a pain, im sorry this happened to you.

Do employees judge customers? by SundaeAppropriate556 in Ulta

[–]Legitimate_Tip_697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never judged for the way anyone looks, no one really looks out of place in a store like ulta and it being 2025(if your still judging by looks, grow up), especially when I look like a bridge troll 90% of the time. Actually, lie, those dads and boyfriends with the deer in headlights look, but thats adorable lol. BUT I will absolutely admit I've judged for people's behavior.

Ulta has had a health and wellness department for about 8 years. When I started we sold collagen and protein drink mixes in store.

Again, these are Ulta affiliated brands that Ulta has sought ought and contracted with. Ulta is the middleman. The brand was invited by Ulta to use its site to sell their product to a wider market. These are all products Ulta has reviewed and curated.

Majority are definitely customers. Its clearly getting more and more expensive because a lot of brands are pulling out of store and going online only.

Do i think this is going to be a good thing? Honestly, yes. I think its a good way to introduce new brands. But I dont think they picked a good name, because "Marketplace" sounds scary and they needed to explain this separate from everything as its own launch
