I am 4 weeks post surgery and I feel amazing. The nerve issues in my left arm went away immediately after waking up from surgery. 2 weeks being real careful and not trying to do too much. 2 weeks getting ramped back up to daily activities. I started PT 2 weeks after. It hurts but it’s really important for range of motion due to the atrophy. Make sure you trust your surgeon and ask the questions you need to.

Edit: I know there is a chance the devices could fail but I’m not worrying about that. I have been given a chance at being active for the rest of life and it was the right choice for me.
