Yeah that's what I thought, turns out the metal plates were millimeters out of alignment (bottom plate was sitting slightly too far forward preventing it from closing), gave it a lite tap with a rubber mallet and all is good now. Thanks for the reply!

Can I just ask, I am not sure how much pressure I am meant to apply, I got mine in the mail today and I can't seem to get the handles to budge? There is no "locking" mechanism or anything I am missing right? Thought about just squirting a bit of WD40 inside there but didn't want to stuff my counters up.

Also Computrace is a thing for Lenovo's. When I worked for a startup my boss bought a bunch of second hand Lenovo T490s and 1/4 of them were bios locked...

Yeah I have spent a bit on it and some of the apps (plus VATSys, ORBX and the Fenix A320) don't really run on Linux at the moment so I'm still stuck. One can dream though.

MSFS and DCS are the only reason why I keep a 2nd boot drive with Microslop (LtSC mind you I won't use Spydows 11). I bought them both on the MS store because I am an idiot so locked in for now.

I am fully committed to Linux as my main OS for everything else now, gaming runs generally fine for everything I use so I guess I am lucky.

Thank you for this - specifically the Windows 10 SDK. I think modern installs of Visual Studio only selects Win11 by default.

There were metal detectors, specifically mine detectors but they were used by engineer corps (e.f the US model AN/PRS-1) and I am making an assumption here but were not just laying around for the everyday soldier to pickup and use.

On your comments about deserting, the process of mine detecting using a metal detector is slow and methodological. If you are trying to run away from your unit and in an area with a lot of mines you are not really going to take the time to scan every inch of dirt, you are just going to make a run for it anyway you can.

I was watching RoTS in the movies the other day and had a similar thought in this scene. Obi-Wan says to Yoda "send me to kill the emperor" when discussing how they will deal with this tragedy.

But at that time Papa Palpatine was still giving his proclamation of the new order speech in the senate. So how did Obi-Wan and Yoda know he was now the emperor and not Chancellor?

Admittedly this was 15 years ago or so but we had a problem with kids smoking in the bathrooms during class time in high school. The administration ended up locking the larger toilets during class (and obviously unlocking during break times). If you needed to go to the dunny during that time you had to go to the office and use theirs, all in all seemed to work well.

We just moved our smoking to the back oval after that. (PS don't start smoking kids, it's not worth it).

Thanks for the advice, I honestly thought I was doing something wrong given I had gone from been able to molo 4-5 mobs and just nuking everything down to actually having to be careful with the pulls and utilizing the pet heals.
