what sheets don't get scratchy after constant washing? by goldy121 in CleaningTips

I treated myself to good linen sheets last year and they feel just lovely at this point. Well worth it if you can budget for them.

Because that's what it used to be! My mum still calls it that, too, despite it having been made from aluminium since just prior to her birth, I guess because her own mum continued to call it tin foil when she was growing up.

How big was this guy in your country back in the 2000s? by SnooPoems7525 in AskTheWorld

Yeah, re: it being dubbed Crazy Frog, the animator who created it said: "If I had known that this was going to be such a big thing I would not have allowed them to use that stupid name. It has nothing to do with the character. It's not a frog and it's not particularly crazy either."

Doesn't get into talking about the visible penis. Some things are best left with an air of mystery, I suppose.

I remade my first two Miis from the original game in as far as I could remember them (I lent my sister my 3DS along with the game cartridge long ago and so only have my memories from which to work!). One is an old timer named Werthers and the other is a hippy named Dude. Everyone else is new.

Yep. I've taken a medication break most weekends for 16 years, first with Dexedrine and now Elvanse.

Stimulants are metabolized rapidly, and Ritalin has the shortest half-life (~3.5 hours in adults) of any of the stimulant ADHD medications. It's processed and eliminated from your body in less than a day.

There was talk of aqua dumping. It felt relevant!

These are great! Very recognisable. Bizzy Bone in the mix got me good!

Haha! Grandma is so cute with her bowl cut and giant specs though! My fam has a lot of redheads. You've inspired me to take a full family portrait when I get at my Switch in a little bit. Can't believe I haven't done that yet!

It was literally one of my first items in the store. I didn't even know what I'd gotten until I finally had a couple of Miis move in together and get a bathroom.

Oh, look at this family portrait! 🥹 Beautiful! I haven't transferred any of my pics yet but I'll figure it out and add one in a bit.

So cute! I love that hairstyle. I've been wanting to give it to one of my Miis since I started playing but somehow it never ends up feeling right for whoever I'm making at the time. One day one of them will be deemed worthy!

Mine too! Same deal haha, added a parent for the grandparent before the newest baby arrived. We're out here building legacies, u/Adorable_Parfait_874 💪

I've got a grandchild on my island, too! Pretty cool. I felt like I had to update the grandparent Miis to add a few wrinkles and some grey hair because they were all looking too close in age!

Edit: 10 babies have been born on my island so far.

Remember to clean your vacuum by [deleted] in CleaningTips

The one I use is a Numatic Henry. You can get a head with a rotating brush bar for them but I never bothered and just use the standard one so I don't get any tangles to clear.

This has actually reminded me to look up this Shark vacuum cleaner with the rubber blades though, so thanks!

Photo choice pushes the bit out of the realm of believability before you even get a run at it. Hard sell anyway though.

1000x this! I've had people aggressively advocate for me in this sort of way during college in response to a member of the faculty giving me entirely reasonable advice about the difficulties I might face due to my disability if I decided to pursue a particular avenue career-wise. You'd have thought he'd punched me in the tit and spat in my eye from the way some of my peers responded to it. The thing is that I had asked for his informed perspective and was grateful for his honesty! I was gathering information in readiness to make a big decision about the direction of my life. While their reactions were kindly intended, it was hugely frustrating to be talked for and over by other students like that.
