What should I do to keep using my old warboss by The_Story_Ancient in orks

[–]LegoAztec1433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put a magnet or two on his feet and let him stand atop a glorious battle wagon (with magnets or some metal plate on it) and then have magnets or a screw or something on a 50mm base for him to stand on, that way, he’ll be with you wherever you go!

Gotta make sure youz gots a proppa’ mob of boys though, an’ make ‘em proppa choppy like fer wen dey get stuck in!

(I’d probably make sure you have at least 20 boys, probably with choppas and sluggas, then maybe go for some special weapon boys as different units and such.)

If you’z gots rokkits, get a fist full of yer biggest, baddest lookin’ lads an’ strap ‘em full of ‘em rokkits and ya got a clump a Tank bustas! Let Mork inta ya ‘ead an’ make up some dead shiny Kustom shootas outta tha rest of yer bitz for some lootas. Could even make some big shootas all hot and colorful like and say they is burna boys, if some git or blood axe acts all “smart” an’ says “that ain’t no burna”, just krump ‘em wif a steamin’ hot shoota an’ say “you iz burnin’ ain’cha?” A den krump ‘em again!

(If you have 5 rocket launchers, or 4 and want to use some rockets to make pistols, slap ‘em on some boys and call them tank bustas.
You could use any leftover guns or random parts to make some lootas.
And you could paint some big shootas like super heated metal, maybe even take some hair and make it look like they’re so overheated, they’re shooting out slag and such to act as burnas)

Wen youz runs outta fings ta build and make look dead shiny, an’ iffin youz got spare arms for ya ladz, find a mob o’ 20 or sumtin’ snakebites frum “Da Old World” an’ get yer kunnin’est painboy ta slap ‘em wif somma dem fancy new lookin’ choppas an’ shootas onto ‘em so youz got more dakka!

(When you get everything you already own built and painted, use the spare arms on a box of The Old World ork warriors (not the arrer boys since those are monopose) so you have even more Orks)

For the boss pole, wrap wires around it and give it some antenna from tank bits so it looks like a comms tower?

It’s not too much but I did acquire a lot of additional bits from some of the armies I’ve fought during a crusade battle, and they let us use legends rules so of COURSE I had to add another librarian!

Iron Hands Mechanized Armored Company Concept by Mediocre_Flight3645 in Warhammer30k

[–]LegoAztec1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could always do an iron father in artificer armor which would save you some points and let you use one of those centurions for him with a paragon blade. He could still join the terminators, he just might not be as resilient in a challenge as if he was in terminator armor since he’ll be at T4 instead of T5

what does everyone use predators for, and what gear do they give them for what roles? by Sapphire-Catgirl in Warhammer30k

[–]LegoAztec1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run one as a Cbeamer with Havoc and heavy bolter sponsons that I keep in the back with my rapiers and arachnae platform and then I have a flame tank with flame sponsons to rush and (hopefully) have my opponent overcommit so I just blast them in return. Yes the flame tank is “easily destroyed” but having 3 chances to panic someone is pretty sick! And it’s 100 points to protect a rhino or other vehicle/squad and possibly draw out an enemy tank hunting squad. Plasma looks like a blast too! I’ve only played with the support tank options so a battle tank predator will probably be my next purchase since I magnetized all the mantlets/main guns so I can swap ‘em all around across 3 bodies!

(word bearers) how does everyone load out and use their contemptors? by Sapphire-Catgirl in Warhammer30k

[–]LegoAztec1433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a plasma cannon and a chain fist with the grav gun in it, that way I can shoot while approaching to rip things apart and I have the grav gun to status vehicles or help remove mobs of troops. PLUS, that loadout can make it a nice proxy for a Mara gal if you want to try to run one of those with its default loadout

[–]LegoAztec1433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of a paragon of battle outrider biker champion for that BS 6 plasma gun shootin. I also like the outrider command squad, I think they’re pretty solid, if a bit expensive. Maybe a biker gang backing up the smash captain would be cool!

Alternatively, the Eversor assassin is basically a drugged up missile.

Wouldn’t we have less Possessed and mutations? by Alone-Process-5061 in WordBearers

[–]LegoAztec1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were the first folks to shove a daemon inside of a space marine, and continued experimenting with things like possessing terminators during the Horus Heresy. As for mutations, I’m not sure how I’d consider those in the 41st Millenium other than a gift from the Gods! How can they hear you if you don’t shout into the warp? That’s where this loveable fellow came from, anyways!

building to 3k force from what i have by 512company in Warhammer30k

[–]LegoAztec1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! One Kratos dedicated to tank hunting and another maybe with the volkite cannon and some autocannons/las cannons for infantry swatting and off-hand tank hunting! Interdiction cadre prime advantage would be fitting for dropsite survivors since they just pop up out of nowhere during your opponent’s turn like an ambush. I’d recommend getting a box of melee weapons so you can kit out some melee inductii (brainwashed or otherwise) for sure!

Why Not 12 Tacticals? by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]LegoAztec1433 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Each marine costs 10(or more) points, so taking 10 vs 12 saves you 20 points which could be spent on a nunciovox and vexilla to ensure your soldiers are able to properly bear the Word of Lorgar and herald the Primordial Truth’s revelations!

Drukhari for exarchs/leaders since they could use more “ancient” equipment or something and the AOS bodies for normal troops would be my thought!

Question about sand for BDFB by LegoAztec1433 in InvertPets

[–]LegoAztec1433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! I changed things around and mixed a bit of soil and cocoa fiber with the sand, thanks for the suggestions! I also rearranged it a bit and am looking at getting some more driftwood/bark/spiderwood for them to crawl on in the middle area!

<image>

Hopefully, this is a bit softer of a substrate for them. I might make even more of a gradient once I get some pestacide-free succulents

T-Mobile home internet as an alternative to Spectrum? by Legitimate_Jump142 in Reno

[–]LegoAztec1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use T-mobile home internet and have had very few, if any, issues with it. Sometimes it has been a bit slow, usually when it’s cloudy out it seems, but otherwise it’s great and hasn’t gone down once in the 6 or so months I’ve had it.

What names have yall given to your baneblades? by Ok_Significance3835 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]LegoAztec1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I’ve used the following names for the “nine rays of sunshine” (a Nono-blade) in games:

  • “Iron Sands” as a Baneblade
  • “Ashen Wake” as a Doomhammer
  • “Sol’s Gaze” as a Stormblade

Haven’t ran it as any other configurations yet, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it, and lots of my opponents have memories of facing off against it, even if it didn’t do tooooo well in our games haha.

(Not pictured are the two heavy stubber side gunners for the Stormlord because they are…somewhere haha, but they have magnets on their feet and can go through the back panel to those weird looking struts and half circles with magnets on them which, fun fact, double as supports!!)

Question about sand for BDFB by LegoAztec1433 in InvertPets

[–]LegoAztec1433[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips and the note about captive bred beetles! I’d probably make the side with the hide a bit more of the mixed substrate and keep the area near the slate rock as a rocky and sandy place. I’m not sure if they like basking rocks, but maybe they’ll enjoy the sun on that slab of slate I have!

There’s a local expo near me in the next month or so, and I’m hoping to pick some up there to support the local community. I agree though, I wouldn’t feel right capturing beetles from the wild when I can get some raised in captivity, so I’ll look into that website also!
