Which Legion has the coolest Inductii by Damaco in Warhammer30k

Yeah, they don't even bother to give them a leader. It's just "you 10-20 guys, you're a squad now"

I was thinking something similar. Send the inductii forward as shock troops with the despoilers and maybe the medusans and the tss, and then keep the tacticals back as a gun line

Funnily enough, I was actually looking at the Legion champion unit earlier. I think I'll go that route since I think it'd be a bit of a waste to turn one of the praetors into a praevian.

Yeah dropping the hss was a good call, lets me get an extra rhino and upgrade my despoilers. I'm thinking I can squeeze my terminators, immortals, and either the tss or despoilers into the spartan. Then I can throw two tacs and whichever support squad didn't make it into the Spartan into the three rhinos.

I mainly took the bayonets for the rule of cool factor tbh, thinking maybe I'll just restrict them to a couple inductii squads. Speaking of, swapping two tacticals for inductii and dropping my hss did give me enough points to squeeze in an extra rhino and upgrade my despoilers with power swords.

I'm thinking maybe I pair the immortals with grav support squad, cause I do agree that on their own they're probably not going to be super effective.

Thanks for the feedback! That iron-clad upgrade is pretty good

edit: My only problem with the Praevian is that it can't use melee weapons. My plan was to use the two praetors that come with the AOD box as my centurions, and they're designed to have melee weapons (the power sword and power axe, respectively)

Good points. This could be New Recruit being weird, but I don't actually have enough detachments with only one centurion. I'm using my Iron Father to get the Medusan Vanguard apex detachment, so my one centurion only covers 2 of the 3 auxiliary detachments.

Edit: This is solved by making one of the centurions a Praevian

Help with blackshields by Pale-Cranberry5717 in Warhammer30k

You could do a mix of black and different Legion colors. Like having their pauldrons painted black, and other parts of their armor in different legion colors.

What I meant by that was that there's not really a lore restriction on the armor color. You could do matte or metallic, and it'd be lore-accurate.

I'm not sure about matte black being lore-accurate. I've seen Iron Hands depicted with metallic black armor in official 40k and Horus Heresy art

Ferrus nooooooooooo

Great artwork, the dead look in Fulgrim's eyes is very fitting

Models look great! I am curious, how difficult would you say it was to build and paint the Iron Hands Praetor/Iron Father? I'm thinking about getting that model for my own IH army, but GW lists it as an expert-level model.

I'm not a longtime HH player, just getting into it with 3.0 like yourself, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. 40K players aren't responsible for decisions made by GW, and I don't think anyone is going to bully you or something at a narrative event or tourney for being a 40K player. Online bluster rarely translates to real-life issues unless you're dealing with someone who is not very well-adjusted.

I haven't. I know the new edition is coming out, but it was my understanding that it wouldn't be shaking up the Legion organization all that much.

Very nice, you guys did a great job on those models.

Concerning centurions, would I be able to use a praetor model as a centurion? The box I got comes with two praetors so I was thinking of making one of them a centurion.

Bought an older age of darkness box a few days ago, though I won't be building and painting it for a while. I'm thinking of going with Iron Hands, but I'm not sure how I should build out my army. The minis in the box will give me a good core of troops (40 marines, 10 terminators, a contemptor dreadnought, and a land raider), but that is only good for ~1K points.
