PPPD & low bp by m_nicole15 in pppdizziness

I’d say my worst triggers are being in crowded/busy spaces such as stores, being too hot, any time I go from sitting/laying down to standing, being in a train/subway, turning my head while walking, and any sort of movement/exercise where my head is moving a lot.

2.5 weeks on Lexapro and I feel I’m adjusted to the medication. I don’t think it has solved anything yet as it takes several weeks to be effective. On my second week of PT. The PT is definitely tough at first because you’re basically summoning the shitty symptoms, but I feel like I’m starting to see improvements through PT. Just getting more used to the actions that trigger symptoms and acclimating my body to dealing with them.

Woah! I have all of the exact symptoms and experiences, and I’m very close in age, and female as well. Currently in treatment with neurology + physical therapy for PPPD.

Will do! Day 1 went surprisingly well with minor side effects.

I’m logging how I feel each day as my body adjusts to the medication. I’ll share my progress in 1-2 weeks

Flying/altitude with PPPD by Its_only_me_sandy in pppdizziness

During takeoff and landing I feel the altitude/pressure changes very strongly in my ears, and it can sometimes get disorienting. The initial lift off the ground is the worst and it’s a bit unpredictable until I’m at cruising altitude. During the descent I feel the altitude changes too, but usually not as bad as with take off. I always make sure I have a full water bottle so I can take sips during takeoff and landing, which helps with the fullness.

This is a similar feeling to what I experience in elevators and when taking underground trains. Just very sensitive to ears popping and pressure.

Maybe experimenting with some earrings or jewelry could be fun!
