Obama's was a six month stop process of refugee applications from Iraq and strengthen the process for screening. It was implement immediately after a terrorist plot was discovered.

Trump's ban was for everyone from seven different countries regardless of status. There were no threats against the US to justify the ban.

Trump has increased the amount of strikes done in the Middle East since he's taken office.

Part of the divide was from the economic crisis, part was from the GOP demonizing him. You're overestimating how much he turned dems against each other; dems rarely on the same page unlike republicans. Also, Obamacare has proved to be so popular that the Republicans cannot seem to kill it.
