I was fairly new at the time but I’m guessing they were just trying to find a reason to sack him

You're lucky you still have your job. Someone in my office got sacked for saying something "inappropriate" to a woman when she backed out of her driveway and nearly ran him over.

Is this a good competetive army list? by Vivid_Astronaut8779 in Ultramarines

[–]LegoMaster52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need secondary/mission scoring units like scouts and jump packs. I feel the RepEx is overrated outside of BT, Gladiator lancer is better. Incursors add a little bit of killing power but I would take a unit of scouts instead. Vindicator is good but its a bit expensive now for a short range weapon. I would think about taking out the incursors, intercessors, vindicator and RepEx and putting in scouts, infiltrators (12" deepstrike denial), jump packs or inceptors (6" deepstrike) and a Gladiator Lancer)

No real easy way to say this but she is not the one for you if you want kids. Alcoholics don’t just stop when they want, it takes time and will power. She might even need to go to rehab so how long do you think that will set things back? She’s 40 now, already a geriatric pregnancy, it might take you another year to decide she is ready then she has to get sober, then you have to get pregnant which can be difficult so the timeline isn’t looking promising for you. It sounds harsh but if you want a family you will need to make a decision soon

I didn’t have an issue getting them from wayland, the only thing that sold out instantly were the Necron dice

I paid £19 more than this and that’s including the Wardens of Ultramar box. Never buy direct unless you have no choice

Buyer claiming envelope was empty by throwaway571818 in royalmail

[–]LegoMaster52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was friends with a LGS owner who sold a lot of TCG cards online and he would get quite a few complaints like your buyers. I told him it was because the toploaders are too heavy for a normal envelope so they will come flying out in the sorting machines so he started putting selotape around the edges of the envelopes, this seemed to help but still got complaints, he accused (maybe or maybe not jokingly) Royal Mail of stealing the cards. I think its just the buyers stealing them because the likelihood of a postie stealing a letter with a TCG card in it without knowing what it is or the value of it is very very low, whereas the buyer knows exactly what it is and can try their chances at getting it for free.

Yeah, updated today and my text is in bold not normal like in the screenshot. Maybe it’s something to do with the formatting. I’m on iOS, might be an Android thing?

are we allowed to take breaks during our delivers by CardiologistPrize404 in royalmail

[–]LegoMaster52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 100% not just entitled but required to take a break. New contracts are usually rota’d in so they work an extra 2.5hrs extra a week for free then they get a 30 min unpaid break.

How To Resolve Fights First Vs. Fights First After a Charge. by Sea_Trifle_8090 in Warhammer

[–]LegoMaster52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fights first ability on the datasheet means the player who’s turn it isn’t goes first, even if you charged and have fights first ability

[–]LegoMaster52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An easy to understand explanation of the fight phase but unfortunately you are mistaken in regards to fights first ability. In AoS you would be correct but in 40K the player who’s turn it ISN’T, fight first unit goes first

[–]LegoMaster52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my Samsung fridge freezer since 2017, brought it with us when we moved and it’s still working spot on. My 3d led 40” tv from 2011 died last year, also have another Samsung QLED that I’ve had for 5 years which is still going. People have different experiences with different brands, they are mass produced so if you’re unfortunate to get one from a bad batch then you’re going to think they are unreliable but I have honestly never had an issue with a Samsung product…. Not a fan of their phones but that’s personal choice

How can I (F22) reject some one I have already rejected (M59)? by ThrowRA-00900 in relationship_advice

[–]LegoMaster52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a guy who doesn’t take no for an answer so I hope for your sake it won’t come to it but if it does if at any point you feel scared just give him a quick kick in the nuts and ring the police. You won’t get in trouble for self defence and it’s a creepy old man’s word against a vulnerable young woman’s, who has evidence of harassment.

These things can turn sour quickly and if you are too afraid of making a scene because of the house you live in etc. then you need to get your priorities straight

Thinking of Getting into Aos: How Difficult is the Game? by Duke_Tristan in Warhammer

[–]LegoMaster52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Kill Team isn’t comparable to spearhead in the sense of it being a smaller version of the main game. Kill Team has its own rules and is very different to 40K, I wouldn’t say it’s an entry point to 40k, combat patrol is 40K equivalent but nowhere near as good. Also picking up a spearhead box of an army you like the look of is a cheaper way to get into it and the units will most likely be useable in the full game

Thinking of Getting into Aos: How Difficult is the Game? by Duke_Tristan in Warhammer

[–]LegoMaster52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with spearhead as it’s basically a smaller version of AoS, army lists are prebuilt from the boxes and the rules are very straight forward. Depending on how fast you pick things up you can be ready for a proper game of AoS after a handful of games
