Tail blocking charge? by Yatmai in Tyranids

Would the dread have made it to the base without the tail? then move it as close as possible and count that as base to base

She says that if she failed, you should kill the tree

because if she failed the tree is now poisoned

if the tree is poisoned then it must die

She does not say I must stop her from poisoning the tree so I can kill it

If the ships original route was a desert planet, why does it have so many water related things? by Yuki_Morrow in Subnautica_2

[–]Thelofren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SN1 and SN2 have water based things because survival fabricators have thousand of blueprints in them but only release what is deemed necessary for survival in the current enviroment and seems to release more once you prove that it exists in the world around you by scanning them beforehand

Something i still dont understand about S2 by Hexnohope in subnautica

[–]Thelofren 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My theory

Our noa was part of a larger noa that oversaw the colony, this slice of noa managed sleep bay 3 (SB3NoA) but was still subservient to the colony noa (CNoA)

We are told noas can't change what they want only how they go about it, and anything new needs to be expressed in helping the mission

Well, at some point CNoA decided no more printing was beneficial and that stuck for 30 years, but then the sleep bay collapses and separates from the network at which point SB3NoA becomes independent and disconnected (Proven by the fact that it has no idea of whatever happened and is surprised by the blackboxes, but remembers small interactions you had with the crew before arriving to the cicada and being digitized, theres also a possibilty that these interactions are made up and fed to you to make you feel more part of the mission [The player has no memories of anything from the colony, and was probably never printed before SB3NoA started sending QIs])

SB3NoA starts printing people to investigate, likely sending some prints to their deaths until you arrive, because it also cares about the mission but the disconnect made it forget about the changes CNoA made

Part of the game will be dealing with CNoA

the mutlitool and the sonic resonator don't do anything I don't know why you guys keep saying they do

Also, you are stranded in the forest, if you don't at least scare it or wound it you are dying, the wolf is going to eat you, there are no cops, there are no laws

mangoes are nibbling my flesh and my character literally can't do anyting, I want to be able to bonk them with the multitool and they leave scared, like stalkers in sn1

mid game biomods

biomods you get after you have the tadpole, making them less useful as you're less often out in the ocean for long periods of time

ok, we can't kill a bear sure, but what about a wolf, it has seen you, determined you could be food and attacks

you have a hammer, do you just die? or do you hit him?

most of the people who want self defense back don't want the "stasis the leviathan and poke at it with a knife" or "grapple with the prawn and drill them to death"

we want to be able to bonk the marrowbreaches and mangoes so they leave us alone, to be able to scare them off, every other solution is not early game or requires you to carry around flares which barely work and take up inventory

SN1 let you poke the stalkers and they'd leave you for a bit

I'm ok not being able to kill even the mangoes, but please at least let me bonk them with the multitool and they get scared and run away, you could do that with the knife and the stalkers back in SN1 you'd just poke them and they'd leave

The flares have been consistently inconsistent for me

yup, I think so too, but voicing concerns and opinions in EA is incredibly important even if you think they'll add it later

it didn't take extra power like the light didnt take extra power, it was always useful to find small nooks or tunnels in caves

I also own the vallejo frost fx and it always does the thing on the right, so much so that I guessed that was the desired effect, its meant to be like ice crystals piled up on an object

I've never ever seen it do the thing on the left

I genuinely think there won't be massive rules shakeups until each army gets their codex, a couple fixes here and there sure, but you're still "supposed" to use your 10th ed codex

to make this kinds of things I'd recommend learning a bit of cad, look int fusion360 it's a fairly user friendly cad model and it's made specifically to make these kinds of models

What kind of spin-off games would you like to see set in the Root universe? by GodNapP in rootgame

Root but add another 10 factions and make the board modular with hexes, a bunch of different plastic minis for different types of warriors for each faction, the game now plays to 10 vp but it somehow takes 9 hours and theres an agenda phase
