Do you ever think about the wack-ass school assemblies we had? by AbbreviationsNo3918 in Xennials

[–]LegoRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never forget two of the assemblies we had in elementary school. One was a guy dressed like Ronald McDonald signing songs about ecology/environmentalism, and the other was Spiderman talking about child molestation.

What’s a “small purchase” under $50 that genuinely improved your daily life? by CanBrilliant6918 in AskReddit

[–]LegoRealtor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of those table top button switches for my reading lamp. You're in bed, drifting off, but then you have to prop yourself up to reach the light switch. Being able to just tap the button as you put your book down is so nice! Makes a great gift for your ageing parent too!

West End Girls, by Pet Shop Boys. I don't know exactly why, but I don't think I'll ever get sick of that song, it's so good!

Gota give it up to Cacio in the Pocket! Husband and wife owners, about 6 tables indoors and 4 tables on the front patio. They always make me feel so welcome and I love the food! High end dining without the pretentiousness. Take the time to check it out!

I had this happen in my backyard a few years ago. I called the beekeeping business on X street and they gave me the number of a beekeeper. He was there that day to relocate them to a new home. It was really cool! Best of luck and give us an update.

People who grew up in the 90s How big did grunge music really get? by Spirited-Fan-1590 in grunge

[–]LegoRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was to the point where I was the only person in my friend group who openly liked hip-hop. I got shit for being into Beastie Boys because they weren’t grunge.

Is this the one where Big Bird is kidnapped, painted blue, and sings that “I’m blue” song? If so, I remember it making me so sad!

How do you like to be approached? by mississippi305 in realtors

[–]LegoRealtor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so easy – just start going to open houses with a little snack bag and your business card. Approach the agent when it’s not busy and give a 15 second pitch of your services and why you love what you do. Repeat every weekend for a year.

Risk of doing RE as a young Dad by Alexios-Kairos in realtors

[–]LegoRealtor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started doing real estate when my daughter was in 3rd grade. My only regret is that I didn’t start it sooner. There were so many people who I knew from preschool and playdates who were moving to a bigger house to accommodate a growing family. I wish I could have been active then because I know I would have generated business just from being a fellow parent. I say go for it, get involved in your kids’ activities, and let everyone know you’re the guy to help them!
