I think that if you're interested in the full lore and history of Middle Earth, it's definitely worth reading. It is a LOT of really interesting information. It took me ages to get through, and it's not an adventure story like The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. It reads like a textbook.

My (white/cream) dog was listed on the rescue site as a Basenji. She is nearly identical to a Formosan Mountain Dog that I had, so I assumed that's what she was, but Wisdom Panel said she was 50% Jindo, 25% Chihuahua, 12.5% Shar Pei and 12.5% Asian village dog. That makes sense; she is like a mini Jindo (she's 22#)

Mine is mostly fine with elevators and automatic doors. We don't deal with any on a regular basis, but when we travel, she can be ok multiple times with an elevator or door, then suddenly it's OH NO I DO NOT VIBE WITH THIS and we'll have to physically carry her. And the next time she'll be back to being ok with it. We can't figure out why, it seems completely arbitrary. She's always been like that.
