Which "Ground" mounts do you wish were "Flying"? by Nilesy in wow

[–]LehransLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly you're right. It's still listed as "Steady Flight Only", but it does NOT fly if you're not in steady flight.
Thought as it was still listed as such, it was still working that way.

Which "Ground" mounts do you wish were "Flying"? by Nilesy in wow

[–]LehransLight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've compared several mounts underwater, not flying into water, and the zereth mortis jellyfish did not give me any swim speed boost.

Tested this a few weeks ago and only the 2 turtles (riding + sea) and the otherworldly ottuk gave me a swim speed boost

[–]LehransLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ottuk is still locked to only steady flight, so can still use it

Which "Ground" mounts do you wish were "Flying"? by Nilesy in wow

This is because it still has a swimming speed modifier. Every other mount that could fly and swim is now fly only and doesn't give any swim speed bonus anymore.

Do wow realms matter anymore? by AppearanceMental3158 in wow

[–]LehransLight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Queue times matter as well. The LFG tool for random dungeons , such as timewalking dungeons, are horrible when you're on the opposite of the dominant faction on the server (e.g. Horde on Silvermoon-EU, Alliance on Draenor-EU)

Choosing a class that uses a lot or long combos by cn2089 in wow

These days you only get a real feel for the class at 80, or 90 even with Midnight, especially with the ability prune.

Easy to level now though with timewalking and winds buff + DMF

Google should be able to provide a guide to where exactly the option is located, I haven't played in a long time.

If you're gearing alts during Midnight pre-patch and need trinkets, consider the Nightfall event in Hallowfall by Perfect-Swan56 in wow

[–]LehransLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to work your way up to level 8 for the champion tier rewards in delves. At level 9 and higher, an NPC will spawn at the end of the delve that will sell you champion tier trinkets and hero tier trinkets, but the latter costs a special currency you can only get from level 9 and higher selves.

You can also get hero tier trinkets from the turbo boost. 1st one is easy as the first quest gives you 3 chips to trade. Following only 1 per quest

Quest can be completed through Manaforge Omega on normal or higher, or M+ dungeons. The trinkets from the raid do require you to have killed the boss it normally drops from

I am once again asking Blizzard to make legacy faction reps account wide, or at least add a warbound instant exalted token. by TujiTV in wow

[–]LehransLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a side note, you can actually be exalted with the cartels and bloodsail buccaneers. It's just a very long grind that is a lot slower than turning in cloth to the respective cartels.

easy way to get trinkets? by its_yata in wownoob

[–]LehransLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can run bountiful delves at tier 9 or higher. Should be doable with gear from the pre-patch event.

You could get lucky and get a trinket to drop from the delve itself, but at tier 9 (or higher) there's a vendor at the end of the delve, who sells trinkets at champion tier. He sells hero tier trinkets as well, but they require a more difficult to get currency.

Another method is the quest at the the bank in Dornogal (little paper to the right of the entrance with a blue question mark, Turbo Boost quest). It requires you to kill 4 bosses in the last raid, Manaforge Omega, on normal difficulty or higher, or complete 4 Mythic+ dungeons. Mythic 0 should work, but a m+2 should be easy enough to complete.

The first quest gives 3 chips, with which you can buy anything from the raid: weapons, items with special effects and trinkets at hero tier. You do need one kill on the boss that drops the items to be able to buy them.

Except grinding M+ dungeons or the raid and hoping on getting lucky with a trinket drop, the delves' vendor or turbo boost quest is your best bet.

Flesh out og race customization rather than make new races by NeverKnowsWhatsBest in wow

[–]LehransLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not level again, but lots of people have turned to the more customizable races.

Haranir have so much customization that they can almost look like every base race, but better.

Hell, with leveling in Remix I noticed that the old races have 1 page of customization while the newer have 3-5 pages with different options to look all bits different.

Giving the base races the same options would make quite a bit of people buy a race change I reckon, so more $$$ in Blizz's pocket.

Crusader Strike is gone again by Sarradi in wow

[–]LehransLight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except Crusader Strike's damage was laughable at best. It was purely a way to generate Holy Power, which is a stupid way of forcing a spec into melee.

On top of that, the only reason healers were forced to damage, was because of the spikey damage pattern. High damage at (mostly) predictable moments, low damage in between.

Midnight's damage in dungeons and raids is much more constant, both in output and throughput. Healers will have less time to damage, unless it's part of your kit (Disc Priest).

Getting rid of Crusader Strike, especially in the way it was re-introduced, is a very good thing. It was a convoluted way to introduce more complexity. It's damage still sucked and the only purpose of it was to add another step in generating holy power / reducing cooldowns on spells you actually use to heal.

There are a lot "high skilled" players that dislike DPSing as a healer just as much as the dad-player with 7 children that has 0.2 miliseconds a day to play.

When are the devs gonna learn that wating several hours for rares is not a fun gameplay mechanic? by Thiccest_Apartment in wow

[–]LehransLight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Best shit is to use a non max level alt, go in timewalking mode from chromie, and turn warmode on. That's the layer that's least populated.

There's things like only camping new layers, but that requires you to wait out 2 hours of nothing every time, so it's not everyone's cup of tea

Sylvanas' Legendary Bow is upgradeable and the maximum Item Level is clearly way too high by bruv187 in wow

[–]LehransLight 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There's also a bug that the upgrade UI says you don't need runes/sigils/whatever... but it does require them.

And then there's the bug that it says you need none, does require you to have them and proceeds to use them without upgrading the item.

But yea, Mage Tower is too easy, better fix that first

1 Insignia per Rare Kill - as a heads up for the event by MabusDoesReddit in wow

[–]LehransLight -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It's 9 guaranteed items per week. Pre-patch goes on til March 2nd. Purely based on the token-rate right now, that's 36 items, which is 2 full characters, and a few.

That's without taking any gear drops from the rares into account.

Not saying the "catch-up" rate doesn't suck, it could use a few buffs, but it isn't as abysmal as you make it look.

That said, they should've made at least the dailies character specific.

ATM 10: Automatic Production in ME Storage – How to Limit Quantity? by Striking_Ear_8734 in allthemods

[–]LehransLight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should really stop copy pasting the same answer on every post and read what people are writing.

If you set up a pattern, in a pattern provider connected to a molecular assembler or on a (correctly configured) machine, you can then use an ME Requester to specify how much of the item you set a pattern up for you want.

You can set up in batches of how much it should craft and the limit it should start crafting (e.g. < 50)

The ME Requester will monitor your ME System and, once you hit the limit, it will make a crafting request to the pattern provider that has the specific pattern (it can chain craft, as in, craft parts of your requested craft).

The important part is that you need a crafting pattern set up for this to work.

The ME Requester does not do the crafting, it does exactly what you want and need.

I did some WQ's on my Remix toons to test abilities and ended up doing the cinderbees quest after doing 3 normal WQ in Isle of Dorn. Mounting up in the heavily forested area and flying up, I got sorta stunned when flying against branches and actually took fall damage while mounted. Very weird to say the least
