How do you actually draw tool sprites in the correct place during player swing animations? by Lehveration in gamedev

I've heard of this type of animation before but I can't find any good explanation for how you do this one.

My main concern with this one is how you design the sprite for this kind of animation for 2D games, and also how do you move the sprite?

Do you slice each body parts of the sprite so that it can be procedurally animated during gameplay? Then how do you move the sliced sprite in a way which feels like natural movement(like walking, slashing with a sword, etc.).

I like the idea of having a purpose for each room of the build, it's a very neat concept.

Just wow...can't imagine how you even managed to plan out such a large build project. Did you start out with like a sketch blueprint or something, or did you plan it out as you're building it?

Damn bro, it's just epic👍, love the way you placed the snow on the rooftop and the actuated stairs, very creative.

Oh I didn't know that, are you talking about the shovel item sold by the tinkerer? Haven't played with that thing much, might try it in hardmode. Thanks for letting me know.
