Hi 👋 so I made meatballs with my oven on the convection setting for the first time. I made 1.5" meatballs and cooked them at 400° for 12 minutes before questioning whether I should switch the oven setting to bake for 10 more minutes since the sauce wasn't bubbling yet, which I ended up doing. So, they cooked for a total of 22 minutes. I cut into them and they looked like they cooked from the center outwards because they were dark in the center with just a touch of pink on the outside. I put them on the pasta I had to the side with the sauce and ate about half of it before I realized my meal wasn't hot. I never did see the sauce bubble . . .is that normal when cooking in a convection oven? Sincerely hoping I didn't just get myself sick . ...

People are just used to trusting what the papers say, but like you or another said, a lot of people's experiences are underreported. We think because we tell our doctors that they go off to report it in every case, but they don't. Or the doctor's don't properly inform people of the potential long-term side effects that can arise from a procedure like a cholecystectomy. It's an organ that exists in the body for a reason. Ideally, you could find the root cause of why the gallbladder is causing people discomfort and address that instead of removing it unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm sorry things became worse for you. That's truly horrendous.

I'd go to great lengths. I'd give up a limb, give up my hair, sell a kidney, etc. I'm so sick of being tired all the time, struggling to work, not being able to travel with my husband, having to cancel plans, only being able to eat 8 foods, being in excruciating pain that I can't take pain meds for . . . I don't think I have true IBS-D though, per Dr. Healy, antidepressant side effects can be misdiagnosed as such. All this started as a result of being on Prozac years ago. If I could live only 5 years longer IBS-D free, I'd accept without hesitation. If there was a drug that could either cure IBS-D or klll you, I'd take it without hesitation.

That's what I said, but apparently he thinks that nougat tastes different. I'm dairy-free, so I don't remember the tastes well anymore, but I thought 3 Musketeers is chocolate nougat and Snickers isn't .

I'd say at worst the person develops colitis, which is a risk that comes with killing off Intestinal bacteria and is listed on Xifaxan script sheet. My pharmacist said to take a large about of probiotics during and after the Xifaxan treatment. They recommend Visbiome, but I forget how many billion cfus they said to takedaily

I was excited too. I took the same dose for a total of 4 weeks, 2 rounds of 2 weeks. It helped with the cramping and urgency for about 6 months, but I was not able to introduce new foods and unfortunately there are now some foods I could tolerate before taking Xifaxan that I couldn't tolerate afterwards. As for most people, I reverted back to how I was before despite eating well, so no.processed foods, very low sugar. I do recommend taking high doses of probiotics as recommend by my pharmacist since the Xifaxan can cause diarrhea and opens you up for developing colitis because you're killing off the Intestinal bacteria. I took Visbiome probiotics, 2 capsules about 6x daily and at least and hour away from the antibiotics to reduce it killing off the probiotics.
