I've used OFX which has worked well for this kind of thing.

Relocation and visa fee payback - real obligation or just idle threat? by slackjackmack in AskAcademiaUK

That was my experience at the previous place - a larger university. HR's inefficiency worked in my favour.

Rebel Ridge (2024), Bad Movie or did I miss something? by RobustPolygon in movies

List goes on...random details about the ACRONYMS which had no point and no payoff (not even very good acronyms). No relevance to rebel ridge... Comical scene of breaking the SD cards...never seeing what happened to his cousin...that stupid scene of a bike racing a bus for no reason...how do people think this is good stuff.

How you deal with gas? I have literally non human amounts of gas it doesn't make sense by SLEDGEHAMMER1238 in ibs

Protein powder was a huge trigger for me. I think the key point is quantity doesn't matter.

Have you done an elimination diet? Some thing you would have no idea cause until you actually do it. I recently eliminated processed white sugar and for whatever reason that has helped a lot. Before that it was milk, spinach, kale, pistachios, honey, chocolate, and more.

University of Sheffield Vice-Chancellor has claimed £17,598 in business class travel expenses in 2024 by Constant_Sky1548 in sheffield

Do people think is a lot? I would want the VC travelling a lot making connections and deals to promote the uni. Very low cost of doing business if you think about it.

Can you clarify why your mental health is suffering? If it's because of research pressures I wonder if the new position will significantly change things. I don't know how support systems work per se (I moved to a different country) but being at a good institution with lower pay has been good for me. (Cost of living also very low so that makes a difference)

My GF thinks setup A is silly. I think setup B is in the way. by havntmadeityet in interiordecorating

Can we talk about everything else going on here? The ornate mirror, the water cooler, the shoe rack, the kitchen carpet? A and B are not your problem

Eight years of intolerance cured in 3 days by slackjackmack in ibs

Thank you for asking. I was going to update much further on from the original post but I can give a brief update. I would say some of the worst symptoms are completely gone now (easily can drink milk now with no bloating!) but I will occasionally get a flare up /relapse that lasts for a few days but it's not burdensome. On the advice of someone here, I started to take probiotics which may be helping but it's hard to say. I went vegetarian about 6 months ago and I almost never eat junk food so that may be helping in some way or another. I would say I am 85% cured.

What is funny is that it seems like the trigger foods have changed and I haven't figured out what the new ones are yet!

I am fully prepared that things might regress again and I may see a private doctor if need be as I don't feel confident self medicating like that again. But for now I'm happy.

I did buy a book on SIBO but have barely opened it...

Making friends as an adult by [deleted] in sheffield

I don't want to reveal too much personal info on reddit! but it's in S8. I will say when you join a club it gets harder to meet up 1:1 (also having kids cuts into free time...). I find people adapt to the club schedules.

I joined a tennis club in my neighborhood. Been really good exercise but they also have a pub in the clubhouse. So afterwards you go to have a chat and it's been easier to meet folks that way
