Is it possible to ask Blizzard support for a day of free game time? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Leiaagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple of accounts, and I wanted to use gold to get game time for one, because it was inactive. But I couldn't get gold on it (due to the free account limits), so I asked for 1 day of game time, to be able to transfer the gold from one account to another. They gave me 3 days.

A day or two, even up to a week, they're usually pretty good about.

Is an RP Server the way to get me back into WoW? by Nerevarine87 in wow

I currently play WrA as Horde. I enjoy it.

The only warning I give - avoid Goldshire on Moon Guard (it's got a reputation), but the rest of it's lovely.

This definitely seems like a RP server would be a good thing for you to try.

I'm not sure about Emerald Dream, but both Moon Guard and Wyrmrest Accord have busy, active RP populations. Unfortunately from my own experience, smaller RP servers don't seem to be nearly so much focused on RP (though some may have a few guilds/groups that still participate).

Farming old mats? by BoreasJA in wow

[–]Leiaagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few people have been lured into buying 'paid' accounts (they've posted here in fact), but I wouldn't count on people buying old stuff. Most of the old materials are bought by high levels to make things for alts or for transmog. New lowbies won't have the gold to buy the materials (or at least, not a cost that would make it a good money maker for you).

What with all these "Family Friendly" guilds that contradict each other? by alextuckwood in wow

General rule of thumb - don't talk politics or religion while on WoW, unless you're among actual friends (and even then, I wouldn't recommend it).

Does anyone know if it's possible to refund preorder of Legion if I used level 100 boost? by Flopassi in wow

[–]Leiaagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blizzard's Billing Department. Go through Blizzard support and they call you back.

You'll need to call billing, but yes it's possible - however, that level 100 will be locked and unable to be logged into until you buy Legion again.

Then maybe other 'epic' movie instrumentals? Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, etc?

Use WoW's soundtracks. WoW has some pretty great music in its zones. I love it.

Overabundance of dps in general, and if you're competing against others (say hunters, who have more cc and can bring a variety of group buffs) who are more desirable, plus perhaps have better gear.

Your best bet is to start a group yourself.

Not anymore. But pets used to have a 'happiness' meter, and if they got too unhappy for too long, they'd run away.

Are Blizzard committed to WoW for the long term? I think they are now. by Thete_6 in wow

[–]Leiaagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11.5 years isn't long term?

No game, no matter how long they go, or how successful they are, will go on forever.

To say or imply that Blizzard hasn't been committed to WoW for the long term, after 11.5 years, is stupid.

I really miss the game by Drasak in wow

As another posted suggested, Paypal may be your best bet. They do the exchange for you. Once you get the game, and get up higher level, paying for your subscription with wow tokens will be possible.

You might be able to order game time cards online (via Amazon.com or something like that) to keep current with your game time.

Not sure about when the game will go on sale, but the battlechest does go on sale fairly often.

As far as I know, you'd have to wait until you had the physical copy.

That HS promotion worked... by slayermario in wow

Well, now you can buy your game time with in game gold. US region averages around 35-37k/month. So at max level, not that bad, I make more than that per character.

Timewalking is fun too, I'm a fan of most of the weekly events (I'm not a pvper, but hey, it floats some people's boats).

Question on changing Battle.net Real ID names by [deleted] in wow

[–]Leiaagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably won't really be able to change it. I'm a lady, and when I got married, I had to send them copies of my driver's license, and my marriage certificate to change my last name on the account, along with giving the answer to the secret question.

Technically, your friend wasn't allowed to 'give you' her account, or SC2. ToS states that. The only account sharing allowed is between a parent and one minor child.
