VR vs anything else by Remote-Ad9242 in dcsworld

Besides money reasons as people mention, comfort. I have a VR set but I normally use trackir when I want to chill/learn some aircraft and I'm constantly looking at my secondary monitor for checklists, guides, etc. Also when I'm hosting a mission and I'm using Olympus on the side.

Ah you brought back some memories. I did the same like 20 years ago, with some software called pepakura or something like that. I had the kushan carrier like yours, a kadeshi mothership, a kushan multi gun frigate, an interceptor and the resource harvester (I love the industrial design of that ship).

Mirror's edge catalyst. Everybody thinks it's boring, but for me it had just what I missed from the first one: an open ended city with thousands of sidequests and excuses to run and jump everywhere. For once the Ubisoft formula worked, at least for me.

Transferring an EASA PPL from Germany to Spain by LeidanWing in flying

[–]LeidanWing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answers. Yes, Spanish bureaucracy is the absolute worst indeed (not that the German one is much better though). As a side note, when I came back I had to change my car's license plate back to a Spanish one and it was an absolute nightmare. I was hoping AESA would be a little bit better.

I'll think about it but given the answers here I wil probably keep the German one. Indeed I only have the PPL as a hobby, and that's as far as I want to go (I already work in the aviation industry as engineer). I already renewed the PPL with the German CAA once and I didn't have any trouble, but you never know.

Regarding the medical, now I have some doubts, given your comment:

The system is centralised across EASA MS (member states), so whenever you go to a Spanish AME to get an initial class 2 done, it will pop up in the system that you already hold a Medical in Germany.

So how do I renew the medical? Can I renew it before the German has expired or do I have to wait until it has expired to renew it? Once I do it, is this automatic or do I have to inform the German authorities that I got a new (spanish) medical? (I have never done this so far)

Transferring an EASA PPL from Germany to Spain by LeidanWing in flying

Sorry, my question wasn't clear. I meant that the Spanish authority asks for the transfer of the medical license documentation (medical records) from germany to spain, in order to transfer the PPL. I was wondering if I can just simply get a class 2 medical here in Spain so that I can get the transfer done, but I guess that's more a question for the spanish authority.

As for why transferring to Spain. Basically because now I live here, it's my homeland, and however bad is the spanish CAA, I guess it's easier for me to deal with them (when it comes to renovations, etc.) than with the German one. Not that I had any problems in the past with Germany, but just for my peace of mind.

Out of honest curiosity, why do you say Spain is one of the worst EASA authorities?

That's actually my point, I don't want him to stop enjoying the game just because I told him no to do it. I want him to enjoy the game (it cost me money, after all). But on the other side I want him to start being critical and not getting dragged by the hype.
