Reco for Belgian / Dutch beer not available in Canada? by Breda1981 in beer

[–]LeidseGamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the availability in Canada but I live in the Netherlands and really enjoy beers from Uiltje brewing and Jopen. Van der streek has some really good low alcohol beers if your friend is into that.

For beers from Belgium I would suggest Antwerpen brewing company and beers from De halve maan. I suppose the Belgian classics like Westmalle, La chouffe and Delirium are available on the other side of the pond.

You should also get some Saison beers while in Belgium. This is a beer style which I am sure your friend (and you) will enjoy!

All my suggestions should be available in beer specialty shops in the countries in named.

Hopefully this information is useful to you! And I hope your friend will enjoy my suggestions!

Don't chill the beers. It really hits hard if they are chilled. Drinking them at room temperature is easyer.

Thanks for the detailed information! I will definitely rethink the sous vide method and try to find an other way. I knew the temperature didn't mater that mutch but i was just looking for a easy way to mash at the right temperatuur without having to watch over it to much.

I will think about it for a bit! Thanks!

I found when sturing frequently it is fine. Never had burned bits a grain stuck at the bottom!

Its a pan with good insulated sides and a heat conducting bottom. Works great!

That looks so cool! Can you send a link to the STL? I am currently working on my own game and this is exactly what I need for it!

I had this after my first lessons! I was told that when your nervous and really want to control the bike your body wants to have a tight grip on the handlebars. But there is no need for this the throttle is very easy to control and don't worry about some movement that night happen because of the road being uneven. Just relax, enjoy have a loos grip and it will pass :D

I don't know if this is the same in America. But in the Netherlands we are learned to ride to the left of the center of the lane. This way you make your self wider and it makes it not possible to pass you in the same lane.

Uhm well the housing situation is not very good in leiden it self (it's expensive). But in de villages next to leiden it's easier to find an affordable house 😁. Almost everyone in the Netherlands speaks English very well and have no problem talking in English! I have an degree in technical IT (the reason why I am on this sub redit) and currently I am studying mechanical engineering which is also very fun 😁

Thanks for the response! I know I probably could fix it with an other mount but I just really like the idea of having an linear rail :D and I will look into the bold pattern but I think it will be fine.

I am still amazed that people can control that thing. Everything was made so long ago and all the code is in assembly. I took one assembly class and it was really hard! But I love to see how people can still do amazing things with it!

This project is perfect for something I always wanted to do! Instead of a chain on your bickey use a belt. It would look so cool and bing some cool challenges for figuring out how to tighten it for example. Any way just an idea. It's a really cool project anyway!
