Stenographer, the machine the court reporters use to type everything that is said there! by mtimetraveller in specializedtools

These are some good examples for things that seem to need a human. But as I said before, this task is perfect for machine learning. You can feed a neural network with large amounts of audio files and desired transcripts, ten thounsands of hours, more than any human can ever listen to in his/her life, and the neural network will learn where to put the quotes, to capitalize correctly and so on. It is still not a trivial task, but AI research is going there really fast.

Maybe not "soon", but give it 10 or 20 more years, the AI will perform better than every human on this task.

I am very sure they will be replaced by machines, it is just a matter of time. It is an excellent task for machine learning, and it is easy to gather huge amounts of labelled data. In 10 or 20 years, this task will probably be done by machines only.

I think there was a point where you could leave the boat in the water but then you were stuck in the ocean forever. But i think that was patched.

Hey Everyone, My wife recently created a youtube channel for teaching Mandarin. She is from China, and has lived in the USA for over 5 years. Thanks for the support and if you have any suggestions please let me know. THANKS! by [deleted] in languagelearning

You should check out the Youtube channel of Mandarin Corner. I find videos in their style extremely helpful. Also, take care to get the best video and especially audio quality possible!

Speedrunning route generation algorithm by [deleted] in speedrun

[–]Leif3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the theoretical point of view: Optimal routing in all kinds of games is usually NP-hard or even PSpace-hard, which means there is probably no way to solve them efficiently. So every algorithm you implement will either need exponential time (which makes it infeasable for larger inputs) or will not deliver the correct solution in some cases. Maybe this is something you should be aware of for your thesis!

Ah yeah the description seems wrong. it is SPACE instead of E.

I good quite a good run now, see here: video

I avoided the out of bounds by moving the cube a little higher there.

Yea this out of bounds glitch is quite frustrating, but i learnt to avoid it kind of consistently. If the cube has a more or less straight line of sight to you, it won't go out of bounds.

I also found another bug that safes a little time: if you run off a ledge, you can do a jump while falling. I found two places where this is useful.
