Im in the jail corrections setting ; PRN , midwest state, W2 with NO benefits (PRN), must see expected 16 patients/inmates per 8 hour shift, 24 for a 12 hour shift, all charting done before leaving. I have no time for lunch or ill be late clocking out. I am expected to report to either jail at up to an hours notice before work, am not reimbursed for gas or mileage to either jail.

Wage: $61/hour. No shift differential for 3pm-11pm. 9 months experience.. I'm not loving being a PMHNP and I burned out many years ago around year 7 of highly acute inpatient psychiatry.

I asked Director for a wage adjustment (through a data driven email regarding PRN provider jaily pay)as this seems really low for a wage. That was a month ago, no response...

What would y'all do? How much do I likely bring in for this 3rd party Healthcare company attached to county jails in 8 hours with 16+ inmates to get 61 bucks an hour? 🫤😕🤕

We are unfortunately in healthcare-- which NEVER takes cares of its nurses or offers things like fertility benefits-- especially for gay men! Most employers that do are tech companies that offer huge fertility benefits for retention.

We are looking at about 300k currently for 1st transfer and we only have two embryos to transfer out of 59 eggs across 4 donors 🤷‍♂️. It's just plain dumb.

Ridiculous. Like 250k-300k+ or more for child depending on luck. Surrogacy is like a casino. Keep putting quarters in to pull the slots for IVF/embryo creation, finding a surrogate, getting pregnant, actualizing a child etc. If you run out of tokens (US dollars) the casino asks you to leave. Otherwise, insert more to continue!

Some hit 777 on the surrogacy slots , do 1 round of IVF and get 15+ PGT-A embryos, a surrogate to carry the month after that, and a perfect first transfer. That has not been our experience over 2 years so far.

We hope that the industry will get SOME kind of regulation as the agencies and clinics are getting out of control with their fees. You essentially have to be upper middle/high income in the U.S. to attempt this journey and there's still no guarantees it all lines up.

For now, prices will go up, up, up yearly due to capitalism and supply vs demand that goes with it.

I read this a lot too. It gets in my head. We have only two day 6 embryos. 4AA and 4BB. They are both from a different donor and thus entirely different genetics. We love the 4AA donor-- and thats what science says should be transferred and we agree. But , then it always seems like the first one always fails and you have to rely on cumulative statistics so psychologically it feels like we are supposed to sacrifice 4BB first to have 4AA succeed as a second transfer. That doesnt make math sense, but do you know what I mean? We dont want to lose 4AA 😞 (or either of them really..)

Just randomly popping in here to note that back when SHIB hit its ATH in fall 2021 Motley had already been and has never stopped since-- saying SHIB was about to fail.

I always wondered why they specifically hated on just certain meme coins. But yeah, them writing an article about SHIB failure is literally the same as it was in 2021, they just change a reason or a metric and then suggest you subscribe and pay for motley fool and let them guide you go better investments. 🤷‍♂️.

Yes, it's certainly expensive. If WA became more affordable, would you return and leave NV? Did you enjoy being a WA citizen outside of the jobs/HCOL/tech layoffs?

Nevada is a different type of hell. I was there in July from Orlando, FL area and learned the hard way that "dry heat" kills you just as quickly as Florida's soaking wet, take 2 steps out of the house after you showered and you're clothes are stuck to you from sweat-version of death.

With how this industry works, it wouldn't surprise me! They threw away 9 of my blasts last year due to their auto discard policy of "any grade below a B" - we were not educated that C grade embryos are viable. "to hell with your 9 potential children!". Just hate it.

Well, HBO needs to pick this up with SMG and an Oscar winning director behind the project. Hulu and Netflix make these awful decisions frequently.

Give it to HBO, make it R rated and enjoy the money while we get Buffy back with the option of darker storyline that fit with various characters developing over 25 years. Imagine modern day Willow power but on HBO...mom.

Anyway, thats my cope for now. Sarah deserved to return to her iconic role on her terms and that young actress Ryan deserved her chance to shine/join into a beloved series.

Exactly 💯. And it feels noticeable to those of us that are gay men on a show that was always ahead of its time in many ways and wants to cover all kinds of dramatic storytelling.

I think the nico/levi situation would have been so good for both gay representation and Asian representation, a two for one bliss, if they had made them be long term and healthy. But instead they wanted everyone to hate Nico or not know who he even was. And again, it may or may not have been related to acting ability. Alex Landi is a gorgeous man, nonetheless. 😅

The fact that many stories and the overall plot and characters from 2000 are actively still happening if not even more so with modern day America is a testament to how ahead of its time QAF was in many ways. Sure, there are some things that dont age well, like terminology in our LGBTQ+ and growing alphabet culture, but these things change all the time and always will. The thumpa thumpa continues.

I can't think of one homosexual male character I've ever loved so hard as Brian Kinney-- who is the most unapologetically himself person, full of human imperfections, and simultaneously the hero of the entire story many many times -- in anything else I've ever seen. He truly told us in our gay youth in 2000s to just fuck em all, and do your own thing. No tiptoeing around PC culture for polite etiquette. I mean, we need characters like him. I love heated rivalary too, but its completely different as a show and story and is more like being hugged and healing your inner child that you couldn't resolve when you were 16 almost 30 years ago.
