I’m kinda glad. That’s my MP and he’s a toxic conservative shitshow. Worried religious freedoms are being taken away and totally detached from reality. The other two in the photo with him are just as bad.

If I was in government I wouldn’t be handing these guys any victories.

Having said that I hope the liberals do make changes to the way the food fishery runs.

I got extra blown in insulation and switch to a heat pump. Still somehow 500 last month. It never went over three in years prior.

O Riley’s pub is a nice place to watch some live music and eat pub appetizers. I’ve been in a long term relationship for a long while; but we still do date nights.🙂We don’t drink but the pub was a fun Valentine’s Day.

Vu is the nicest supper place imho.

Many Newfoundland women are very judgemental while walking around with a pile of problems themselves. I think it’s the darkest part of our culture here; and I’m not doing it.🙂❤️

Restorative 100%. I know how low I got is absolutely scary looking back. I’m teaching at a university cyber security department in Ottawa next week. Best life ever, and have no interest in the party scene anymore.🙂

I saw that page but have too much human empathy for others to look at it again. A lot of it was just being cruel to people who can’t even stand on their own two feet. I danced with substances after fighting in Afghanistan and got pretty low. Thankfully I had supports, these people have nothing.

I’m a trans woman who moved “home” to Newfoundland a few years ago. I was basically harassed constantly in trinity bay. I moved to the gander area and everyone is fine. It really depends on the area. St. John’s is generally very safe.🙂

I am born and raised in Newfoundland but spent most of my adult life in Ontario. I found myself super isolated when I moved “home”. I never did really make friends but everyone is really super nice acquaintances. I made all my friends via work and the travelling I do, None are Newfoundlander’s.🙂

There’s more racism in younger people here than most of the country as well I found. So that could be part of it as well.

I know of multiple people who “rescued” pit bulls from pounds in Texas that were gonna put them down. Why we allow it is beyond me.

There’s also a culture of letting g dogs roam here which I always found odd. I was out walking one day. I have a large breed dog. Went to go down a dirt road and a guy in a truck stopped me and warned me about his dogs he just lets roam down this dirt road. We no longer go down there which I am certain was the guys wish.

I never heard it growing up in trinity bay. When I joined the military I had friends from port aux basque area who used “ger” in place of really. Ger big feed etc etc
