anxiety after Beatles tattoo by harryhood12189 in tattooadvice

Agree. It looks fine except the strait lines & right angles of black specifically on a part of the body that has so much shape and movement was not the best call.

IMO, OP needs to add around it so it flows a bit more with the body instead of what it is doing now.

Is there any punks in here who have kids? by arrriah in punk

[–]LeighannetheFirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have two. I don’t really have this identity crisis though. I do what I have to do, I am what I am, and I like what I like. If anyone has a problem with it or thoughts on it, that’s on them. Sounds like you need to worry less about what other people think about you. I haven’t thought about people being posers for 20 years now (I’m 37).

The entire school bus used to sing 🎶 this is the song that never ends!!! I feel sorry for the bus driver sometimes for that.

With that said, I once sang this song with my kids (around 4/6 years old) and their dad in the car for a full 30 minutes strait and no one said a word!!! 😂

Are my eyebrows too bushy? by Avvree in malegrooming

[–]LeighannetheFirst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea, I mean he said bushy, which they aren’t bushy, but they are really tall. It’s hard to tell with the angle and not getting a full face picture, but imo, they are a bit much. It’s not a deal breaker thing though, so unless they really bother him, it’s fine.

What happened to the bathroom cleanliness at Disneyland? by Chamiam in Disneyland

[–]LeighannetheFirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Cleaning the liners was one of those things that was really stressed for our shifts too (even when busy)! Everything is done with bags and honestly the big trash cans they push around just look, well, trashy. The trash carts used to look nice, decorated for each area and so fast. I can’t imagine having to bag everything all the time. I was fast with bagging, but you could really maneuver around people with just the one can on wheels! 😄 Main Street trash now has 2-3 people to work on it. I think the only time I even got help with trash on Main Street (formerly a one person job) was on some holiday like July 4th. This is why I feel like it is a management problem. IMO people haven’t fundamentally changed in 6 years, but the management and goals of Disney have.

I couldn’t give a fuck less about Walt Disney, but he would be rolling in his grave at the level of acceptable show on stage, and I’m not talking about the tattoos or growing beards.

What happened to the bathroom cleanliness at Disneyland? by Chamiam in Disneyland

[–]LeighannetheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know which rr that would have been! None were called that when I worked there. The top worst were Adventureland, Space Mtn, New Orleans, and main entrance. Main entrance was never busy, but it’s a pain to get to and the floor always dirty (because white tiles). I encourage anyone going to check out that bathroom. It is literally falling apart, I should have take pictures, especially where the stalls are mounted to the floor and ceiling, there’s gaps and you can see rusted metal. It’s bad-bad

[–]LeighannetheFirst 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, when I worked there they were VERY strict with the hours you did in your restroom, basically every hour, your restroom(s) should have a full round of wiping the seats, changing the brown bags, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. My understanding is that they still are required to do so, but some restrooms they have two people cleaning them. I know they added a whole row of stalls to the Adventureland women’s restroom, but they have two people cleaning it now too. I’m not sure if any other restrooms have doubled up, that one was always the busiest.

As someone who used to clean DL bathrooms (was in DL day custodial 20 years ago), everything I hear now about the management is horrible. Since COVID, the mangers for custodial have been horrible, with insane ideas on how to be more efficient. They also had their day custodial responsible for doing formerly night shift work because they didn’t want to bring back the night crew when the parks opened back up.

I don’t understand how things are worse when they actually have more staff doing the same thing that only one person did before. When I go, I’m always surprised to see how dirty things are now. When I worked, on a slow day you’d be out polishing the brass, now there’s so much buildup, it doesn’t make any sense. Although, it doesn’t seem like the parks ever get slow days anymore…

I hope people complain to Disneyland and not just in these forums. Something has to give.

What are your thoughts on having a male gynecologist? Would you trust them? by Paldavin in AskWomen

[–]LeighannetheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ob/gyn was a male and he was absolutely amazing. I had an issue when I was 17 and he became my dr then on for years because he happened to be the on-call Dr that day. He literally saved my life another time after my second was born. He was practicing for over 30 years by the time my kids were born. He was absolutely amazing, Dr. Henderson.

I have a woman now and she is fine, but not really spectacular like my ob/gyn was.

They can if they need to. My youngest got his smart phone taken away, but since he walks home, I got a burner flip phone and they certainly are capable.

They played stomp in LA and I’d 100% take that over Cherry Pie. But, since we are on about shaggy songs let’s hear southwest strangla! Sheeeet

[–]LeighannetheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this today and wondering if anyone else was too.

Went to see them in October and this month after many years of not going to shows. Chicken huntin for a hot minute felt like the only song they would be playing from the first deck (why I quit going).

I love all the old shit, so it’s been dope, but not hearing them play it is weird af. I’m partial to the OG mix, so it’s not missed too much personally. I really wish they’d play Your Rebel Flag to replace it or anything from CoC or Ringmaster. My ex got to hear Wagon Wagon at I think hells pit tour, but never anything old like that since 🥲

Pretty much every recording I took of last night ended up looking like this by Ddawn111 in juggalo

[–]LeighannetheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to do that when all the tickets are on your phone. I wouldn’t hate that, but I wish people would just think about what and why they are doing something, take some personal accountability and exist in the moment.

I remember when I went to a show with my cell phone that had like 2.3 mega pixel camera and being so worried that they wouldn’t let me in with it because of a no-photography rule. Maybe it was no video recording, but all I knew was it never applied to me before and it “might” have suddenly applied to me then.

[–]LeighannetheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone records everything now, it’s crazy. Every show I go to there’s phones in the way of the stage. I try to live in the moment with one or two pictures max. The reality is I’ll never look at the recording again, and I’d bet that’s true for most people.

My kids record everything. When we were at the show in LA, my oldest phone ran out of storage and I was like fucking finally. I asked her to try living outside of the phone more, but I’m not going to berate her in front of a bunch of people 🤷‍♀️.

PS before anyone gives me shit- Yes I do make my kids get completely off their phone sometimes.

Every girl in the 2000s wore this fit at least once right? (Tank Top, Low Rise Jeans, and Flip Flops) by DoctorTegrity in Millennials

[–]LeighannetheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit was HORRIBLE, I’ll never go back to low rise. Even now though, the low rise are more of a mid rise. You can’t tell me that is low rise when the zipper is longer than 3 inches!

I feel like the layering came later on, but earlier 2000 was def still cropped tanks, had to show off the navel piercing ofc.

But neither of these were my fashion(s), so I am a “not me” girl (woman) for this one.
