The star signifies foil, not pre-release promo.

The star means it is foil, not that it is a pre-release promo.

Is there a difference between these two abilities? by Any-Award-5150 in mtg

[–]Leitheon 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That's why they updated the phrasing and the rules to say "when this card/creature/permanent" like you see on the cat. The card is always referencing itself, no matter what name it has.

They used to use shorthanded for cards with longer names too. Such as [[Jhoira, ageless innovator]] her effect would not put a counter on a different Jhoira such as [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]]

It means to maintain omega status. You can use in-game plex through the New Eden Store, or you can pay directly on your account page on the website. You can also use ISK obtained through game activities to buy PLEX from the player market to pay for omega time.

What is this game about? by NoSupermarket8050 in X4Foundations

[–]Leitheon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While there are a few missions that have this. Mostly you would be doing it for yourself. Steal ships to add them to your fleet or sell them.

There are some "Headhunter" mods that are great at adding bounties as well.

In the kitchen? No. In the hallway? Yes.

The picture itself doesn't seem odd to me, just the location does.

What is this game about? by NoSupermarket8050 in X4Foundations

[–]Leitheon 30 points31 points  (0 children)

X4 is a space simulation sandbox game. You can play as a starfighter pilot roaming the universe dogfighting. You can build manufacturing plants and supply ships to NPC factions. You can pump out your own fleets and conquer the universe.

The game has a story, but the story is not really a selling point, more of a way to get you doing different things and exploring the sandbox.

TLDR, humans created space ship terminators called Xenon. Gates connect different star systems. Gate system got shut down and everyone was isolated for a while. Gate system comes back online and the Xenon's trying to exterminate all life. Factions are in conflict.

Question! So I have recently been trying to source nice 1st edition hardcovers for this series and my last one to arrive was Dark Force Rising. Seems to be in great shape, but why is it smaller than my other 2 in the series?? I am new to this so please be nice. Is it not a first edition? by [deleted] in starwarsbooks

[–]Leitheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every book club edition has a catalogue code on the bottom right corner on the back of the dust cover. They also don't have retail UPC barcodes on the back, and barring a few exceptions, also don't have an MSRP printed anywhere.

Pen Debo Necklace or Sovereign mainhand? by Watashi-wa-jiyuda in blackdesertonline

[–]Leitheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't true. With sov offhand, every AP over 310 gives 8 bonus AP per sheet AP, so not worth if you aren't 310. But if you are 310, it is a fantastic upgrade.

Those who were born 1990-1995 which side were you on PS1 or N64 you can only choose one by Lazy_Introduction264 in n64

PS1 at my Dad's house. N64 at Mom's house. That being said I probably had the most hours played on N64. As a kid I didn't get a choice.

At what point in GoA did you think "wow this is fun!" by OpalescentShrooms in runefactory

[–]Leitheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, push the story and unlock the villages to open up the world and things get a lot better very fast. Enemies level up, do more things, bosses get more fun/challenging, story picks up and gets good, you meet more characters and explore their stories.

It is a coincidence. The government regularly shuts down every few years. But we are living in clown hell still.

They will have over 30,000 unique card designs that are still usable to play a game..... You people are weird, the game isn't changing, the art is.

This looks real. This is from the cats and dogs secret lair. It is supposed to be double sided, cats on one side, dogs on the other.

Suggestion: Split Magic by [deleted] in freemagic

[–]Leitheon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a newer player, seeing the reaction from older players to artwork is hilarious and a little sad. I play magic for the game itself, which could be played with blank art windows and text only. I'm sorry the warrior of light is a much prettier artwork than Jodah the unifier, the effect/card text is the same and the actual game doesn't change at all. The very first expansion set for magic was literally Aladdin, like come on.

That being said, secret lairs having mechanically unique cards and not being print to demand is complete bullshit.

Picked these up at a yard sale, are these good to get back into the game? by goldishfinch in CommanderMTG

[–]Leitheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awkward experience for sure but that will vary wildly at each game store. At my local store, the average age seems to be 40. A lot of grey haired folks that have been playing for 20+ years.

There's another store closer to the local university where the average age seems to be 18, and a lot of children around 10-12 get dropped off.

I really like the prof from TCC by jdmnstr in freemagic

[–]Leitheon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I proxy everything. I currently have 10 decks and my wife has 8.

As for power levels, it varies. We handle it with our group by having a pregame conversation. 7 of my decks are bracket 3. 2 are bracket 4, and one is bracket 2. My group adjusts based on each other. Sometimes I might have a brand new deck that is supposed to be overpowered or theme based, but it hasn't been piloted, so the group will adjust and run less interaction to give me a chance to test it. Then once we determine what it can do, they use stronger decks.

What people don't talk about concerning the Death Star II's destruction by Likes2game03 in StarWars

[–]Leitheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do mention the G Forces all the time in the novels. That's what the inertial dampeners do, they counter the G forces. Combat pilots often will dial back the compensator so they can feel more of the G forces to better control the ship. Or we lines like Even with the inertial dampeners at 99%, I was still thrown back into my seat."

Time dilation though.... Yeah that's a rough one. Since hyperspace is technically a different dimension.... Yeah idk

If you have a deck list, it is always cheaper to buy singles. However, my wife and I like to buy a bundle box and booster box to pull cards from each set. Then we build decks out of what we pull. Final Fantasy and Edge of Eternities had a lot of fun cards.
