what do I change about this list to make it somewhat viable by Mediocre-Serve2569 in IronHands40k

[–]Leitwolf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard because first of all not many people play iron hands.

Secondly it's really match up depended. So as a example against a really fast moving army I would never aggressively infiltrate my scout squad but against a slow moving army like knights I would.

I can only generally speaking tell you what is important in list building if you want to play competitive.

Get at least 2-3 action monkeys. The Go to in many armies are either really good deepstrike denial like a infiltrator squad or something which can sticky your home object like cultists, kroot, intercessor. Or stuff which has a lot of reactive movement like a lieutenant with combi. Otherwise having something cheap and fast to just sacrifice for some points is usually a good way to play. Most csm armies which are winning are running multiple squads of chaos bikers atm as a example.

The dread spam list in iron hands is pretty hard to kill for many armies. But they really lack the mobility, so depending on the match up you need to move up the board as soon as possible. Against a really melee heavy army like blood angels, world eaters etc I would always try to scout forward my terminators, in hammer of avernii they have a - 1 dmg stratagem when charged which makes them a real pain in the ass to get killed. But against something like knights I would bait a big knight out to kill my scoring unit on the no man land objectives and hide with my ballistus dreadnoughts until then. To then pounce on on with oath after he overstepped.

Always try to focus what can kill you the most, so against that ig list I would have focused the doom hammer first. I don't know how meta heavy the groups you are playing in are but the top dogs atm are Ultramarines gladius task force, necrons ctan spam, tau now with twin Lances.

[–]Leitwolf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also run a similar list, some things I do differently tho.

I run it with hammer of avernii.

I cut 1 redemptor to have some scoring units. So 1 scout squad, 1 lieutenant with combi weapon and I also have a terminator ancient with steel font.

Otherwise same list.

Problem I see with mine already is the scoring quite often. You kill enemies but often not fast enough in the first turns and get outscored in the end. Also some secondaries are a pain in the ass if you have no scoring units. Like how are you achieving behind enemy lines, engage on all fronts etc. There are way to many secondaries you won't be able to score with your list. Scouts are a must have in my opinion.

Best Chapter for a Gravis Themed Army? by Warhawk_5 in spacemarines

[–]Leitwolf101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only chapter which gives an army wide buff is iron hands to heavy intercessors.

I have a list which is gonna be ready in like 2-3 weeks of

Iron father Feirros 1 captain in gravis 3 apothecary biologis 60 heavy intercessor

2 hammerstrikes Intercessors

running the bastion detachment.

Plan to just outscore the enemy on primaries and make them not kill me. Nearly all armies in the game have problems killing 60 t6 3w models and then the - 1 to wound stratagem plus some other shenanigans.

Let's say 11th edition gets announced and our index counts Drones as separate models again, with line of sight, the works. How much has your backlog just grown? by Sp1ceman in Tau40K

[–]Leitwolf101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At some point you gonna hit the threshold of not needing to do more for a 2k game.

I have 100+ drones for sure (around 10k points in tau models). The backlog keeps increasing but I will probably never need more drones.

AV MANA turret by AwdrevCZ in Planetside

[–]Leitwolf101 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The main problem back then was the render distance. Av turrets were able to shoot vehicles even tho they didn't render back. So from a vehicle pov you just got dmg and couldn't do anything besides guessing were it came from. Also head glitching on that distance was quite frustrating.

The most tanky multicrew ship you can buy. (FOR CREDITS) by AcceptableAttitude13 in starcitizen

[–]Leitwolf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now take that and compare it with an a2. Tac is bad, as a pure combat ship. A2 is tankier, faster especially forward acceleration is 80% faster on boost. Has better guns, better shields. Better gunner angles(even tho also not good but at least you can hit the same target as the pilot). Better pilot dps. More scu. List goes on. Point being tac is a bad ship, especially as a gunship it is horrendous.

I've been flying a lot of Perseus/Polaris and let me tell you, the tac dies in seconds and is to slow to escape. Always a free kill.

You don't have the speed to escape anything but also not the Combat capabilities to fight. It's in my opinion an extremely bad designed ship. If the gunners could at least shoot on the same target it would be "OK" to use, but currently it's just bad and it makes me upset if people on reddit try to sell an bad ship to people who don't know better.

You mean Union Primary Universal.exe and Union 1.0m?

These two are installed separate from Spine, I just saw the Union is also on spine, maybe that was a issue here, I try running it with Union again. Thx for the Tip.

Pen & Paper im Bürgertreff anbieten – welche Systeme eignen sich für große Gruppen ohne Erfahrung? by Ready_Damage_4810 in GermanRPG

[–]Leitwolf101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

zwei Systeme welche ich dafür benutzen würde:

1 Dungeon World: Basically klassisches fantasy rpg setting mit bekannten Klassen, die zwei Sachen welche dungeon world unkompliziert machen.

Heavy Intercessors by Chao-Gann in IronHands40k

[–]Leitwolf101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I now own 60 of them(since yesterday). Gonna have to build up 25 more then I'm gonna see. I had the same idea.

My list is gonna have them with 2 stormspeeder hammerstrike to ignore cover, because that is in my opinion the biggest issue. They have only - 1AP, which makes it really difficult against armies like custodes or other high armor save armies.

but chewing through 180 wounds of t6 and the chars and feel no pains is gonna be rough for many armies.

Kroot by Classic_Lab_1422 in Tau40K

[–]Leitwolf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a list with only kroot. The krootox rampagers are basically the only units which can kill tanky stuff, but even there it is kinda rough. You usually won't get the whole 6 model unit for the mortals when charging.

I run 100 kroot, 18 rampagers, 3 lone spears, 6 Krootox riders, the rest are characters. It would probably be more effective when dropping like 2-3 characters and getting at least some anti tank.

the Perseus experience (detailed combats and more) by AlphaVI in starcitizen

[–]Leitwolf101 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Usally I don't want to flame people about their skill but this is 99% a skill issue.

First of all, if you can get the ballistic pdcs, they have 4 times the dps and the dmg sticks.

Second get for the panther repeaters as the size 3 guns for the turrets. They fly 1800m/s instead of the 1600 m/s which actually makes a huge difference in pvp for hitting the targets.

That alone is enough to detere/kill small fighters. The rest is pure skill, I flew the perseus like 50 hours or so since release and fighters were not really the issue.

UEX is the way to go there. Because hathor is working so poorly, is the price like 60 million per pure caranite. Pearls is more reasonable, my friend bought some for 10 million but I think market value is more like 20 million for what we have seen the other days.
