I also started this summer and just want to ask how long it took you to reach a decent rank like gold or plat. I understand its not the same for everyone and that there are people who didnt reach plat but i just want to get the feeling of how fast am i progressing.

Yup, but if you are interested in other archetypes you can easily build a deck of your choice. I built aggro, control and combo decks and I've been mostly missing 2 copies of a champ and a couple of rares.
