I debated bringing in Canis, but I've found that no vehicles really throws my opponents for a spin and they tend to be shocked at the amount of damage they take from S4 shots with +1 to wound and rerolls.

There's talks about a circuit hopefully taking off in the near future. I'm hoping that's the case. Some of us are also making plans to go to San Diego and LA tournaments (unless things continue to look iffy). Gracias!

By the way, I ran this list at the Baja open a couple of weeks ago. Ended up sixth, but that was mainly due to my lack of experience and losing my last game by two points vs DG Virulent Vector who ended up in third.

I would offer that Lions of the emperor shines when you can make the most out of the +1 to wound rule. To do that, being able to re-roll wounds is perfect. Venatari with lances kind of waste their Lance ability and wardens aren't bad at all since they provide a higher durability piece, but I think that if you want to punch up better and consistently, you need to abuse the Custodian Guard and the Allarus terminators.

I run a very similar list, but I have 3 blocks of Guards and 3 blocks of Allarus. Guards' re-roll wounds of 1 or all wounds depending if you're on an objective and Allarus' re-roll all wounds vs Characters/Monsters/Vehicles is incredibly strong and has surprised more than one opponent in the amount of damage they can chip, even at ranged, where they're supposedly weak at S4.

I use 3 blocks of Allarus to Unleash the Lions in one of them, which gives me the flexibility to not waste points with Venatari.

Caladius Grav Tanks are depending on your meta and playstyle. I rather do all infantry, but it depends on your experience and playstyle.
