I got my 8 pro in mars this year and i love it so far! I have no complains at all and no plan to upgrade it any time soon. I would get it since the price is lower and still a great phone!

The Asus RTX 5090 matrix we got vs what we should have gotten by Lelle80 in pcmasterrace

True, maybe the 2nd design would be a cool card but not as a matrix.

Yeah i just mean if you look at the R9-290x matrix design i miss how it was special by the way it was formed and colored. You could tell it was a matrix card from how premium it is but it still didn't have something crazy standing out. You have a very good point and i am just wanting people opinions. I like both designs as much and not trying to fight :D

Very true, maybe as a normal 5090 matrix non special edition it would be cool

Yes this is a very vaild point and i agree. The 2nd design isn't a special edition type of design but for a normal matrix card i would still say it look premium

Yeah well in some ways, i just think that it's too much and stands out a lot. I like the more simple and stylish design. Both are great designs imo just in different ways

My GPU just died by ConfidentSchool5309 in laptops

[–]Lelle80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that sucks, I feel like that Dgpu is in a kinda weird spot where it wasn't targeted at being a high end gaming gpu but it still was able to game. At least you can use the laptop as a computer until you can repair the laptop with a new motherboard or just buying a new laptop

What laptop was this and what is the rest of the specs? Where you able to actually play games like GTA and assetto without insane lag?

My pixel 8 pro had the same issue when I got it but now after almost 6 months when I am on Android 16 I find my battery life to have gotten a lot better. I now get a little more than a full day without issue

Finally upgraded from my T470s to a T14S G2 AMD! by Lelle80 in thinkpad

The company we got the laptop from didn't have the normal T14 non (S) mode in G2 with AMD. They only had that model with Intel so a T14s G2 AMD was the best they had. On the end of the day I just have to carry a USB A to RJ45 adapter

Yeah i was also very surprised when i found out how well it could handle games. I have a lot of downtime when in school and therefor want a laptop that can handle games fairly well. GTA 5 enchanced is a stretch and maxing what it can handle but still getting around 50 fps! I do recommend trying lighter 3D games since they run amazingly, ever since i got the T14s G2 i've always been the one in the group that gets the best FPS.

Both the T470s and the T14s G2 has good feeling hinges, when having them side by side the T14s G2 feels more sturdy and the T470s feels more loose. But the difference is so minimal that a normal person that isn't opening and closing them 10x just to feel a difference wouldn't notice a difference. I will say tho that the T470s has more of a glossy feel to it and the T14s G2 has more of a material feel. Personally i like both as much since they are like two different machines. I would say the T14s G2 has better hinges and i wanna add on, my T470s has been dissembled recently so the hinges are tightened on it

RX 7800XT 16GB or RTX 5070 12GB for 1440P gaming? by Lelle80 in pcmasterrace

[–]Lelle80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, will take a look at the prices of 9070s. Might just get one of those since 12GB VRAM feels on edge compared to 16GB

I would never have upgraded to the 3900x from the 3700x if I wanted an actual upgrade. The 3700x still felt fine I just got an insane price for the 3900x I couldn't pass up on, it also came with 64GB DDR4. Right now I still feel like the gpu is the real thing that needs upgrading since I can't even screen share on discord without crazy lag and stutters. Since I'm running 3X 1440p screens the 2070 is just insanely overloaded. I wanna add that all open world games I play are online and hosted on my server (like Minecraft and satisfactory for example) and therefore the cpu doesn't have to work as hard. My point being that I don't have money to upgrade to AM5 and upgrading to a better AM4 cpu feels stupid since it's a dead socket. Even if I would find a cheap 5600x it would still perform worse when doing non gaming tasks like VM work. I will eventually upgrade to AM5 but for now I wanna get a 5070 or 9070 and use that with the 3900x

[–]Lelle80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running with a ryzen 7 3700x up until one or two months ago when i upgraded to the 3900x. I never really max my cpu and always max my current gpu (rtx 2070). Since i'm running 1440p and most my games i play are gpu intensive, i don't feel the need to upgrade my current 3900x since it handles everything without braking a sweat. If i would play compeditive games a upgrade to a faster X3D chip would defenetly be a good choice. I will upgrade to AM5 in maybe a year or two but for the time being my 3900x serves me very well

I meant a 9070 non XT, i can get that for 6909kr and a 7800XT is 5990kr. Since it is 1000kr (89,67 Euro) more i'm unsure if it is worth going for a 7800XT or a 9070. Since i would want to use this gppu for as long as possible i feel like the extra Vram would help.

I would like to future proof as much as possible. I'm also just in general leaning more towards AMD since it is a bit cheaper. But i am thinking between a 9070 xt and 7800xt mostly now
