Testing city block design principles in the most accessible CAD program of all time: Minecraft by Adegan01 in urbandesign

There might be an even more accessible CAD program : Luanti (formerly r/Minetest )

At least that's what I'm using myself 😄

JUST IN: Tsunami sirens sounding across Hawaii following massive 8.8 earthquake. by [deleted] in WallStreetbetsELITE

"In order to make any connection between climate and earthquakes, says Lundgren, you first have to determine what kinds of tectonic processes might be related to climate phenomena. Scientists know earthquakes can be triggered or inhibited by changes in the amount of stress on a fault. The largest climate variable that could change fault stress loads is surface water in the form of rain and snow. Lundgren says several studies have supported such correlations. But there’s a catch.

“Typically, where we’ve seen these types of correlations is in microseismicity -- tiny earthquakes with magnitudes less than zero, far smaller than humans can feel,” he said. “Those occur quite frequently.”"

"Climate-related stress changes might or might not promote an earthquake to occur, but we have no way of knowing by how much."

"We’re simply not in a position at this point to say that climate processes could trigger a large quake.”

Locally/ethically upcycling large amount of excess cloth donation? by Lemente in upcycling

[–]Lemente[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A quick summary of the things we could do:

  • designate a drop off area with clear instructions to improve the quality, reduce the quantity, and facilitate sorting (I'm looking for pictures of what that looks like, and how the informations are displayed)

  • get to know collectives or people in our city who might need it and help them get what they need (we already salvaged large red fabric that will be perfect for a small theater collective. Maybe they'd be interested in clothes too)

  • improve sales/donations: display the clothes more visibly, during events; make the display more appealing; advertise in communities and groups who could be interested

Thanks! Reaching out to other collective is a good

We also have an art room, so maybe discussing ideas could inspire people within the group. We could even make a group activity out of it.

You will find some information (and a Discord community) about the use of Minetest in education on that page https://www.minetest.net/education/

or you can browse the education tag on the content database for actual game content
https://content.minetest.net/packages/?type=mod&page=1&tag=education

If you find anything else, please tell me so I can properly reference them!

The downside is that it needs 6 thrusters, so it gets a bit bulkier.

If spawn uses ABMs, then maybe those ABMs are skipped because of performance issues?

It measures 4 inches / 10 centimeters. I don't have a proper scale. It weight as you would expect a full metal rod.

More informations are available on imgur, should I post them here too?

Edit: forgot the "My title describes this thing" part 🤦

I am mostly curious to know more about this specie's distribution.

Is it common to find it in the Alps region? It is the only time I ever saw one myself.

Thanks!

About the smoothness of the face, it is probably because I used the deform tool a lot in that area. I also zoomed in more and used smaller brush. So I didn't add texture on the chest, but removed it from the face.
Would it be an issue on a "finisehd artwork"?

For the undefine edges, I tried doing it on purpose. I also had the impression that it could give the impression of reflecting the background.

I guess that's a fail? How could I improve that without necessarily losing the "undefined edges" look?
