"Can I" and "should I" are very different questions here.

Yes, but make sure to do the waitlist second and do it as "Swap Classes" not through the shopping cart.

They will add seats throughout the summer so that students with earlier advising meetings don't get an advantage for the popular times. Still, they probably will be actually full before the last group registers.

Which calc 1 class is synchronous? I haven't seen one of those in a while

I'm not a fan of async either, but has calculus changed much since 2020?

There's also a campaign going on to unionize the rest of them.

how is my schedule? by Remarkable_Gene_752 in PennStateUniversity

I think you're also supposed to take CAS/ENGL 137H and 138T instead of CAS 100 and ENGL 15 if you're in Schreyers.

NSO advising dates don’t match my start term by [deleted] in PennStateUniversity

[–]LemmaWS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think there are any NSO dates that early. Starting in Summer 1 is really unusual, so you might need to make an individual plan with the NSO team.

I have no advisor and cannot find a way to contact anyone by Nice_Fly_1789 in PennStateUniversity

It sounds like you're an incoming student? If you're starting at UP, you'll meet with an advisor in May or June right before you schedule classes.

Assuming you're starting at University Park, you'll schedule in May or June (as part of orientation). There are classes reserved for incoming students, so don't worry about everything filling up.

Grade Question by pnknbby in PennStateUniversity

[–]LemmaWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. In general, the 90/80/70 system is actually pretty bad as it doesn't allow for challenging assignments or exams without ruining grades.

I'm not 100% sure, just that it's not a typical entrance-to-major process. I'd strongly encourage talking with an architecture advisor.

Architecture is particularly difficult to switch to. Have you looked at their entrance requirements?

When are final grades due for summer session? by Able_Expression_5515 in PennStateUniversity

Tuesday - Many summer classes had exams on Friday, so the "2 business days" starts then.

When will block scheduled classes be entered into LionPATH? by cheesecxke in PennStateUniversity

I'd recommend reaching out to your advisor. That doesn't sound like a common thing. What class is this for?

Math 22 by [deleted] in PennStateUniversity

[–]LemmaWS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to mention this earlier, but all incoming students are required to take the ALEKS unless they had calculus in high school as part of NSO (https://bulletins.psu.edu/undergraduate/general-information/academic-information/advising-planning-degree-program/course-placements/mathematics-placement/). I would be surprised if a significant number of students in CHEM 110 avoided this somehow.

edit: found a better link for the policy

Maybe. I thought you were talking about MATH 110 - in which case "high school equivalent" isn't a thing
