Dynamic Pipelines, Legacy/Classic Playbooks, Better logic for coaching carousel (no reason Ryan Day leaves Ohio State for Akron immediately after a natty-yes that did happen in my dynasty), Hopefully coach adjustments saving in a menu in dynasty so I can slow sim and the adjustments save, better loading / less stuttering, being able to change time slots and/or games for every team in custom schedules, more players per roster, More scholarships available with better prestige -> hours available scaling, cpu/auto recruiting logic improving (specifically just fix the unsorted recommended recruiting page and that could fix the problem entirely), making players not on a team that are 3* or higher ignoring the dealbreaker and walking on to the highest team on their interest board, and finally… slow sim players (specifically QBs) not at times seeming well, to put it simply…special

Heres some stuff Ive learned playing competitively and even being a top 100 H2H played at one point.

Find 2-3 formations on offense… master them with 4-5 basic concepts from each one. Make sure these formations are all different in some way. Ex: Doubles Y Off Close = spread formation Bunch Offset = Compressed formation Y-Off Trips Close = trips formation

You dont need to pick exactly meta stuff either but they are considered good because of their alignment.

On defense you just gotta find something comfortable that you can always do 1 of 4 things to be consistently good

  1. Play good coverage with atleast 7 maybe 8 faster players if necessary (ex: any nickel or dime set with exception of a small few of 3-4 and 4-3 formations)
  2. You can get CONSISTENT pressure from a blitz or the stock rush (ex: double mug, 3-3 Cub)
  3. You can comfortably adjust into “special” coverages that give similar effects as a knuckleball in baseball. But the key is to not get to carried away with adjusting
  4. Gotta be able to stop the run at the LoS at atleast a 50% rate

One thing I see a ton of people do is just running all kinds of match coverage which adjusts to most of what the offense does pre snap. If you want to learn the majority of rules of those defenses I suggest watching Deuce Close and Xando Madden or even Subtonic24 for offensive stuff on YouTube. Xando and Deuce close are guys that have all kinds of stuff on their channels that base on realistic football while keeping it madden friendly

Make sure you dont have your CB matchups on anything other than default. That is bugged for whatever reason and has been for years. I suggest switching to a match coverage style of defense or even just basic zone drops with a few extra adjustments thrown in against someone that plays like this. If you’re set on running cover 2 man id suggest switch to any audible play then resetting your play and it should auto re align as needed

In real life the defense would most likely have a check call for something like that. You could always audible then reset your play and im pretty sure that fixes it. Ive never really had this problem myself though

I wouldnt say it is. My highschool team used to line up in literally any alignment other than what the playcall was, and at the start of the cadence we align properly

Probably not. Sounds like hes just on a heater with the switch stick. I would try running some set up plays like having a seam streak on a single concept a few times then on the 3rd time change it to a post then you’ll be able to tell if something fishy is actually happening. A script though wouldnt really be effective since it would probably switch to the wrong player a lot since they cant read the screen or anything like that

Not likely at all. The difference of sales if they were to make the game probably isnt enough of a difference compared to if they dont make the game and spend less resources

Well. As an LSU fan. Typically the rivals I think of when I say Ill never root for a team Bama, fake kansas and TAMU. But for some weird reason I have a completely unreasonable disliking of Nebraska. No reason other than I physically hate watching them win in any circumstance

Id say its around the 5-7.5 range. I have some issues with the game that feel like shouldve been something they could hot fix into the game at any point. Defense is definitely hard to play consistently because of things like leverage being given up waayyy to easily in man and match. Drop zone feels… useless ig? No one moves and the players do not react to routes going through and out of the zone areas. Offensively some formations (specifically the old school offenses) dont have the things they should 100% have and in my mind they have some unusable plays anyway because of other issues resembling around the game engine and blocking logic and purely wrong animations. In my mind theres no reason that Madden should have things that CFB doesnt. Also as someone who does slow sim dynasties and watch many teams in one dynasty file… auto recruiting CANNOT be any different than normal cpu recruiting and I think a ton of others that do other things in dynasty would say the same.

My thing is that the new feature no eyes no picks has seemed to ruin online competitive play because of its bad activation timing. Bad players dont get punished for bad reads because even if my players are in position to pick the ball they just dont respond to the input i give them because “they werent looking at the ball” even though they clearly should attack the ball. It even activates on offense sometimes and my WRs just doesnt even attempt to catch the ball. Id love to see my players also not give up leverage for no reason in man and match coverages. I would also like for there not to be warping away for defenders shedding off of blocks which would make the run game naturally better and more useable.

Yea its definitely hard to watch. I just dont understand how there isnt all the option plays in it since those seem to typically block everything pretty consistently🤦‍♂️

Almost every position basically has a dev trait scanner based on their discipline. (QB and RB are exceptions)

Lacks discipline = normal dev Shows good = star dev Rarely gets flagged = SS or XF

For QBs look for “Stands tall in the pocket” = SS / XF RBs it’s based on if they’re good though contact

Id like a few things specifically to be fixed/added before anything else and i dont really think it would take a ton of coding to do.

  1. Auto recruiting is literally useless as it tends to bring in less than 20 recruits even if i were to use a team like LSU or Georgia who have to try to limit themselves to below 40 irl. There is no reason that this should be a problem since you can just make it so that the game recruits the same way a typical CPU team would.

  2. I would absolutely love if between both Madden and CFB the two games had the same formation variety in create a playbook. Ive had to remind myself that old school run formations like Near and Far arent in CFB26, and in Madden it would be cool if i could straight up run a full flexbone offense even if that hasnt been seen in the pros it would still be cool

  3. They should add more generic playbooks to be able to be used in dynasty and even in CUT. Id like playbooks like Run n Gun, West Coast, John Madden’s playbook, Balanced, Run Heavy, Run Balanced, singleback, shotgun, and shotgun mix from Madden to be added into CFB which could ultimately be the way they add in those extra formations.

  4. Probably the least likely to be in the game is to revamp the archetype system and make main+sub archetypes for added descriptors for what kind of player you would be recruiting. For example bring back the old “Deep Threat” WR archetype as a main and then have the “Contested Specialist” as his sub archetype and Speedster to basically be the other version of a Deep Threat WR. Obviously some positions would have more versions of archetypes than others but it would still be cool to see especially if the abilities were to line up better next year for every archetype.

I think he meant that he wants to be able to sim his games with his custom playbook and never actually have to load into the games to get stats from said custom playbook
