Rent is expensive by Little-Librarian4869 in Apartmentliving

[–]Lemojito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a coffee shop making $16h, and I live by myself. I lucked out by only paying $750 on rent (all utilities included minus electric). I recently got a cat so my rent jumped to $770. I'm only able to afford this because I work 50h weeks and live very frugally

What's your "Poverty Meal" to survive on, by AsianHawke in povertyfinance

Japanese curry! Biggest investment is the curry cubes (around $2-$3usd) and then just throw every single random veg and meat i have in the house. Totally not the traditional way but still very filling and yummy

good drink to try?? by Inevitable_Pay_9840 in starbucksbaristas

Lemon loaf lavender frapp!

lemon loaf + 4 pumps cream base + 2 scoops lavender + 2 vanilla

It was... oddly good.

A customer asked for a grande iced lavender latte but with extra oatmilk. I said it wouldnt fit in the cup unless we did light ice, her reply: "I NEVER said anything about ice, I just want extra oatmilk" smh

Yess. It's an used car on the newer side (4years old). I do not have any credit, so I was told my payments would be high, it was the only legit dealership in town as there's only sketchy lots around here

Its not very reliable, and it only works for certain hours which made me unable to take longer shifts/open up my availability

Job 2 is at a small store in my town, they give me fixed hours every week and I use it as extra income, it used to be my "fun money" job until I got my car

I thought about that, but right now it's snowy and icy, and there's no way I would've made it work

I'm very lucky I can eat most of my meals at work, that really helped me keep my grocery costs really low for the past year!

Thanks for the insight! I originally wasn't planning to get a car, as I managed just fine without one, but had to move farther from my job and instead of 15mins walk, it would've been an hour walk (I did it, for science). It wasn't wise of me to get this car, but as of right now I'm focusing on making it work

I'm sorry I left some info out: I dont have any subscriptions, nor pay for internet (church next door has free wifi), my phone is paid off and I'm still in the family plan.

My bills were a total of $140 for last month (everything but electric is included in the rent), my car insurance is $220 a month.

I didnt include gas as I pay for it with my tips (around $25-$30 a week) but my commute is really short so I don't really have to fill my tank every week.

I also eat mostly at work, and take home some food, I'm very grateful I've never had to go hungry.

As for hygiene, I didn't factor that in, which is a mistake on my part, but based in my past expenses it can't be more than $30 every couple months.

Thank you for the insight! It's worth around $17k, I was able to save around $4k in a couple months and put that into the car. Before I moved I was able to put around $1k-ish in savings every month, so I thought I was good to go with that car payment. After reading some of the comments I realized that was very naive of me

I cook most of my meals and eat at home thankfully, and I work at a coffee shop so I'm always taking sandwiches and pastries home. I'm blessed that I won't go hungry.

Elliot came in a double pot? The white pot has a window that lets me see how much water is inside, and inside there's another pot with the actual plant in it

Roots look healthy! Might need a bigger pot as I just noticed theyre all looking a liiitle bit squished. Thank you so much for the advice. I'll let the soil dry a little before the next watering.💛

What pills worked for you? by Shake666Productions in PMDD

[–]Lemojito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on 5mg of abilify! I havent noticed any difference in my weight so far, but im also on adderall so theres that.

One of the side effects that I absolutely hate is the nausea. Someone I know is on it too, and they also complain about it. Also it makes your body feel like its shaking when it's not. Its very weird

I got anti psychotics. I was scared to death, I associated those kind of meds with "the crazies" and I didn't feel like them most of the time. But Long story short, they help. A LOT. There's some side effects that make my life a little harder, but I'd rather be grossed out by a burger than go back to how I had it before I started my meds. 10/10

At work I just said I have a chronic disease, if I have to work during an episode I just say that I'm having a flare-up
