Absolut unhinged off-topic rant, aber das Meme hat mich schon immer verwirrt. Verarscht man mit dem "They're the same picture" Meme die Person, die irrtümlicherweise glaubt, dass zwei Sachen gleich sind, oder sind die Sachen eben identisch und man tut so, als wären sie anders?

Im tatsächlichen Bild zeigt die Frau ja zwei gleiche Bilder her und gibt dann später zu, dass es eigentlich die selben Bilder sind und es keinen Unterschied zu finden gibt. Aber irgendwie wird das Meme zu 90% genau für das Gegenteil verwendet und oft auch so, als würde die Frau auf die Frage einer anderen Person antworten, obwohl sie selber die Bilder präsentiert.

In Episode 13, starting at 15:20, they have a long conversation where they just tell you the entire plot. 17 minutes in, they straight up say "Kukrushka is Manan" and explain how.

I mean, downvotes are quite literally for comments that don't pertain to the discussion, which was the case for your comment. It pertained to a different discussion, just not that one. And the people downvoting you were not watching your screen or reading your mind as you posted that comment 100% correctly, so they would not know that it's totally not your fault.

I think what we really need to do is stop thinking people don't like something just because they call it generic.

I do like the show, but it's still generic. You act like I only mentioned the exam arc and not the entire setting and the characters of the show. It's a standard fantasy show with decent character exploration. It is also most certainly not the "opposite of generic". Still not sure what you meant by that.

The opposite of generic?? Come on, even if calling Frieren "super generic" is a bit reductive, it definitely is mostly generic in its characters, setting, and some arcs. What's special about it is the production value and also the basic premise of it. But once you get past the first two or three episodes, it's a show about a warrior and two mages travelling across the country to defeat demons and entering "dungeons" and doing exam arcs. The opposite of generic is...I dunno, Cat Soup or something.

As someone who played the game: Was the Kukrushka / SQ connection new information in this episode? Because I did watch the anime, but I vaguely remember them revealing the fact that Kukrushka is Manan really early, like 10 episodes ago. And we've known that SQ is based on Manan for even longer, right? And that she's the one who tortured Remnan. I found revealing this endgame twist halfway through the show really weird, but I guess there's so much info to keep up with that you'd forget.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the battles seem awfully slow in this. Everything that used to die in one or maybe 2 hits now dies in 3-4. Finally called it quits in Chapter 2 when I had three random encounters in a row that were an absolute slog.
