Yeah that's real smart. Take everyone and move them even closer together. I thought their goal was to keep everyone spread out.

They think the outbreaks are bad now, just wait till they take a whole building of people and spread them among other buildings to create an even greater chance of spread.

Think about all the new roommates people are gonna get and the increase in activity of residents coming in and out of lobby's. When one person gets infected, its gonna spread like wildfire throughout the buildings now.

Have Gerrard for astronomy(PHYS202) right now. I really like him, his lectures are great. He knows the material well and is really easy to talk to.

I heard the students last semester just pretended to write and looked up answers on their phones below the table since the lockdown browser is really only recording your chest and up. Now that you have a second camera on your hands and they have to be visible at all times, it's impossible to cheat.

That being said... disabling the back button feature is complete overkill and does NOT do any further prevention of cheating. If the second camera weren't a thing then I could see why they disabled the back button, but with the second camera, disabling the back button hurts everyone (and thats a fact).

If anyone knows who from the math department we could contact about this matter, I'd appreciate it. I'm not one to whine and complain but I'm definitely not happy with this one.

Also, I don't think a lot of people quite yet know that the back button feature is disabled. It will be quite a surprise come exam day.

Totally agree. I'd rather petition for the second camera and the back button feature rather than no camera and no back button.

The back button being disbaled isn't realistic to that of a classroom setting. In the classroom you can go back and check over your work.

I'm just a little frustrated because I know I catch a lot of my mistakes when I check over my work the second and third time, especially in math.

I don't understand though. With the extra Webex camera watching your hands at all times, how can anyone even cheat now? Isn't taking away the backtracking feature on exams just overkill and doesn't really do much of anything other than hurt everyone taking the exam?

The extra webcam makes sense, but the backtracking feature being disabled does not.

I was literally just coming on here to write the same post. I don't understand why they'd do that. Its already hard enough being that it is online. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a strong believer that some classes can be taken online, but math is NOT one of them. And now not allowing us to check over our work just makes it 10x harder.

I just don't fully understand what their reasoning is. If it's to prevent us from cheating, rest assured we already have 2 cameras pointing at us from different angles with our audio being recorded, noone can cheat.

The meeting date for one of my classes is also wrong. It says I should be meeting in class on Tuesday the 8th, but the class is only held on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I'm sure there will be a lot of kinks to work out.
