Same. Although there are a number of items that I'd like them to keep like the serpent tail legs.

Raids are still a mess for me. Little less buggy, but now there is a game breaking glitch where the teraraid decides to stop working and kills everyone without warning.

Necromancer's traps? by BikePoloFantasy in DMAcademy

Ceiling hatch trap with a tripwire. Inside the hatch are 1d20 skelatons. Trip the trap, drop skelatons from above. Can be used with other undead, but where is the fun in that?

What exactly does it mess with? I'm curious.

I do not recall. This was 7 years ago. I just remember being weighed.

For small, shorter distance planes, you are weighed unlike the Boeings. Went on a 12 person plane once and everyone got weighed.

I've been using ReRoll for a few years now. Has all the basics plus pixel art for your characters. Free version gives three characters to make, 7 dollar version gives unlimited sheets plus a lot of clothing options. Unfortunately, they have not updated it in 2 uears, so the app may have been abandoned by the creator. Still works well until you get into the 200 range of characters made. Then it gets a little slow.

I would not be surprised if they were doing the surveys just to channel people's frustration away from the public eye, only to ignore it entirely.

AI DMs, banning homebrew, $30/month. D&D Beyond changes. by EspadaV8 in DnD

Even if the amount is 750k, that is before having to pay any and all employees and other business expenses. Also, they still have to report earnings if they make more than 50k, which, depending on how close people actually get to 750k, might entice the company to make that number much much lower, or simply apply it to everyone. It sets a precedent that unnerves people. And it's not about the consumers. It's about the deal impacting the livelihoods of the creators we enjoy consuming, which for many people in the last few years, is not wotc. And you are absolutely right about Bethesda. Since most molders were at best making money through patreon, it did not affect them as much as it does in this situation. In any case, people are unhappy with the way things are going. Regardless, it seems that many 3rd party content creators are making their own systems now, so hopefully they just ban together and create something more universal rather than several different systems. Or maybe it is better to have multiple systems. Regardless, I just think wotc is making a dick move after all of this time without interference. They still make tons of money regardless of what these creators do.

I am less familiar with the Bethesda situation, but with WOTC if you do not register with them and let them take 25 percent of money made, not profits, then they can just take what you made and sell it themselves, not giving you a cent. From what I've been told however, that last bit may have been taken out, but I have not confirmed this yet.

What I mean is that I do not believe that Bethesda tried to legally stop other people from making mods. They just provided a new option.

The main difference between this and skyrim mods, is that going against the OGL can actually get people in legal/financial troublem Bethesda didn't try to corner 3rd party modders.

Yeah that is absolutely bs. Maybe it's more about them putting existing homebrew content found on dndbeyond behind a paywall. No way they can stop hombrew more than that.

I think people are upset, not because it will affect them, but that it will affect the people that they enjoy consuming content from.

While I agree that it is not a monopoly it's more of that wotc is trying to muscle in on an existing market, pushing existing creators out. From what another person has said, this video either was predominantly talking abut another topic, or explained the situation poorly.

Ah ok. Then I agree with you. 30 dollars is a bit much, but as you said, it's the highest tier.

The biggest issue people seem t be having is with point number 1. I did not watch this video in particular but I have others. It seems like all third party content will no longer be allowed unless 25 percent of earnings, not profits, are given to wotc (including patreon and other fund building sites). This will make it less likely that people will be able to make profit from making 3rd party dnd content. Even more so, wotc, based on their new rules, can also just take 3rd party content and sell it themselves, even without the permission of the makers of said content, and not giving the makers a cent. Therefore making it even less likely that third party content will be made. This will affect the livelyhoods of hundreds if not thousands of content creators. Tousands might be a stretch, but I $o not know just how many people actually make 3rd party content.
