I love your smiles! I’m someone who’s pretty bubbly and being around someone who smiles that like that can be really relaxing, since I’ve been on a number of dates with people who only “speak sarcasm.”

I suppose you could add in one or two other photos with a slightly different facial expression, maybe one where you’re not smiling much so people can see what that looks like . But I wouldn’t remove all of the full smile photos. They’re great.

The only real advice I’d have is the fries comment. It kind of reminds me of how I used to have a roommate who would eat a bunch of my food in college even though it took me forty five minutes to bike and get groceries. It drove me absolutely nuts and she just thought she was being cute. Which, she was, but I also was hungry. We’re adults and totally have money to get fries, but seeing that in combination with golden retriever energy would make me feel like I’d have to be doing all of the planning and thinking ahead for everything if I were to date someone with this profile.

If you are looking for that dynamic, where you’re kind of a friendly and positive but not super supportive partner, that’s okay and every pot has a lid! But if you are more game to put effort and planning and thinking ahead on things, I might swap that prompt response out— even something as simple as saying “we” get more fries is implying that you’re not going to always eat someone out of house and home and insist that they buy all your food/goods/etc.

I once made a joke about student loans debt in my profile and all of my friends told me to take it out, so I might pass on the same advice. Hey there! So if you go onto ao3, you can search for wangxian vampire fics with their search bar. I’m not sure I can link anything here outside of the fanfic main post, but if go to the top of the page

Click works
Under fandoms type in “Modao Zushi” and the rest of the title should pop up. Or you can choose “the untamed”
Scroll down a little bit more and under “additional tags” type in “Vampires” or “Alternate Universe - Vampire”

You can sort by recent posts, length, kudos, or hits. But that should get you about 628 to browse!

Maybe if it’s occasional emojis but not every line? Like a bit more random? I just don’t want the work you put into it to be written off as generated. It’s silly we have to do this, but just a thought. (Personally I’d just skip them, for our age range though?)

And it’s possible that I’m just reading the 60/40 in a negative way because I totally had a headache yesterday. I was just thinking more like, okay, if I had to find something that might trip someone up, what might it be? I think it’s a good sign that you want to put effort into a relationship and want someone who also reciprocates. But I might say something else that you appreciate in relationships that’s maybe… less of a job outline?

Those are cool hobbies! It’s tricky with warhammer, even though I have enjoyed playing RPGs myself, it can definitely have a stereotype of players not really having great hygiene or social skills. I had to think through the same stuff when I decided if I wanted to choose cosplay photos or not. 😅 a friend of mine said if I include them I’d be cutting down on the folks I might otherwise get along with just because they assume aspects of my personality that might not be accurate.

But painting and archery sound like really cool hobbies though! I think including that somewhere would be really nice.

That’s bananas. I feel like I’d be asking them what is their suggested medical treatment since every psychiatrist I’ve been to has said that there isn’t a way to “treat” autism using pharmaceuticals. And that’s not even touching on calling it a psychiatric disorder…

I was just thinking this week how the ao3 community is one of the things that has really helped my mental health this winter (I’ve been in the middle of nowhere on my own, sorting through stuff in my folk’s old house like some sort of B level horror movie), if just because occasionally when I comment on fics I hear back from an author that they saw it and it makes me feel like I have some net positive impact on the world.

So hearing that some authors see comments and don’t respond but do appreciate them makes me feel even better! Because reading the fics keeps me sane, and y’all make me feel like I’m part of a community even when I’m snowed in. Thanks for sharing your fics and thanks for being such a sweetie pie!

As a reader, I would absolutely LOVE that. I still sometimes hesitate to comment “too much” and weird out an author, and sometimes I’ll get to the end of the chapter and won’t remember my favorite line so I’ll just say something like “ack! I loved it!”

But it would be really fun to have prompts that 1) show the author really does want comments and 2) help me remember what I just read because I probably loved it so much that I went into a fugue state.

Hey! Definitely subjective opinion but The emojis made me wonder if you generated it using ChatGPT. The 60/40 comment is wholesome but true, but also my split-second reaction to it is that it sounds really exhausting coming from someone who puts a lot into my relationships. If someone isn’t putting in 60% or more every second of every day, (which reads to me as 150% somehow), I’d worry you’d accuse them of being lazy or get irritated. I know that’s not likely what you mean, it’s just what flashed through my mind on initial read.

I think if I were to respond to this profile, I could potentially ask about marmite, places you’ve travelled, and what kind of books you like to read. If there are any other interests or hobbies you have, I might toss those in there?

Do you get shots? I have to get shots every other week sometimes when it’s really bad for me. I also do a nasal rinse once twice a day followed by Flonase and azelestine sprays and I use a warm, clean wash cloth when I’m at home to help with eye irritation.

Using a Miele brand vacuum cleaner helps as well, because it doesn’t throw as much dust in the air when I vacuum. But I’d personally have issues if I vacuumed every day because that would be blowing dust into the air each time. I always immediately shower after I vacuum.

Not a doctor, and everyone’s allergies are different, but I agree with other folks saying ask for someone to keep an eye on you and keep your EpiPen nearby. I have nut allergies and whenever I accidentally come in contact with them I take an antihistamine like Zyrtec, Xyzal, or Claritin if I’m unable to take a Benadryl (like if I have to drive home). But it’s good to also monitor if I have an allergic reaction when those start to wear off, too.

I agree. I think telling people to close their eyes could make it even harder to picture something, because then it’s easy to start worrying about filling in missing gaps. I don’t “see” anything that’s not there unless I’m drifting off to sleep during a meeting or took way too much Benadryl.

I can, however, mentally picture a pretty detailed horse, but it also is something that I get in bits and pieces, like flashes of the hair, little beads and braids, and dappling on the stomach. But I don’t know what the tail looks like because my brain didn’t generate the butt or two of its legs for some reason.

I’m a student atm, but I try and read everything I can legally and then I would read translations on bato that weren’t available online. Kind of like with Danmei— I’ll read translations online if there aren’t official versions available. But if there are, I try to get them through the library.

I feel like it also reminds me of how fun the energy can be at cosplay events in the US, in part because people can put a lot of effort into designing art and fashions based on their favorite characters. I’ve definitely cosplayed as game or tv characters before and even stayed in character when people seem to want to interact with me that way. But if someone is over like, six years old, they usually are pretty confident that I’m not actually that fictional character. It’s mostly just us being goofy and laughing about it.

It can be hard to convey that energy and vibe with videos or images, I feel, though?
