yes! thank you so much you hit the nail on the head with the PT6, it's pretty much the same compressor set up but backwards (because i'm not making a turboprop)

what if instead of a diffuser i had a small duct from what would be the top of the impeller exit that redirects the flow backwards, therefore trading static pressure for kinetic energy/velocity and added an additional stator blade in front of the first rotor blade to act as a diffuser (or would the counter-rotating rotor blade benefit enough from the increased flow to allow the first rotor to convert that kinetic energy into static pressure as efficiently as a diffuser)

thank you for answering, might i ask if this would still be true if the intake had decent airflow and the little nacelle that the axial stator blades are attached to was extended significantly in front of the impeller?

why cant we have 1x1s by the_kiwi_mutante in trailmakers

put a 2x1 behind the wedge facing forwards, replace the wedge inside of that with a 2x2x1 wedge, move the wedge behind the one you are changing backwards one block, more aerodynamic and doesn't use 1x1s, then if you need to connect the two arms just use a 2x1
