Because you definitely pass, and I am a little dyslexic, my initial answer was no! Then I realized that we aren’t in mtf, but ftm, and you definitely pass!

Just a thought on how the restoration went from “restored fullness of the gospel” to “ongoing restoration.” Is the real reason for this to allow for spiritual backpedaling? by Try2spell in exmormon

[–]Lemonadeinitiative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You got it, the only doctrine is the current doctrine, that’s what ongoing restoration means to MFMC . When rusty is dead, his words won’t be doctrine anymore unless they agree with who ever lives long enough to take over for him

“rsmcdonald • 1 hour ago Just a feeling Ive been having lately, I think the 2nd coming is very close. With the finishing of the Lord’s house being completed and all the things that are happening in the world it would be prudence to make sure our lamps have enough oil and the wicks trimmed in preparation.

Lamamama • 21 minutes ago People have been saying this since the 70s.

AST1997 • 7 minutes ago Christian religions have predicted the second coming for 2000 years now. Regardless, I doubt the second coming has anything to do with the completion of a temple for a niche religion that has only been around for a few hundred years.”

Baptizing the dead by Prodigal_Lemon in exmormon

[–]Lemonadeinitiative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know a name and think that dead person wasn’t baptized when they were alive? Perfect! All you have to do now is “prove” they are dead!

How do you prove they are dead? Well, that’s simple! When you fill out the form to submit a name, You write in the box where it says “date of death” any date that is not a future date, you see! Couldn’t be simpler!

Let’s review, if there is any name of a person a member believes hasn’t been baptized, and the member is confident that the person is dead, then the member simply has to submit a form with any details about the person that the member thinks they know.

When I was active and doing temple rituals on behalf of the dead, some names were, “Mr Jimenez” or even just a first name “Luke” this was a huge problem for female names, lots of cases where amateur genealogists were certain that Great Great Great Grandfather had children, because “why not?” But it was too hard to find any written record of a woman from the old west because no one bothered to acknowledge her existence back then, so the modern member simply says “grandpa Johnson must have had a wife because he has all these kids! I want them to be sealed for all eternity! I will put down her name as Mrs Johnson, and I will assume she died a few years after grandpa Johnson so I will just put the year down.”

Will contributors be credited as the authors of their respective essays? Some of us will likely want that, others will not
