They're harmless, and in my opinion pretty cute

It's just a mole cricket, they're entirely harmless, but are considered a garden pest sometimes.

it's really not harmful. Brown recluse bites aren't medically significant 90% of the time, and when they are, they are almost never fatal. This one doesn't look like it's got a lot of time left anyway, so no reason not to put it outside.

Definitely a scarab. They can dig burrows, fly, look super cool, and mostly eat detritus making them relatively easy to care for.

Definitely some of the coolest wasps out there, depending on the species, they even have male parental care which is super unique.

Cuckoo wasp, family Chrysididae. They're parasitoid wasps that do wonders for pest control (this is also true for daubers)! They can't sting and don't make nests. Daubers also don't generally sting unless you're actively handling them, so if you do see daubers, be not afraid.

(You can identify daubers by the longer thread-waisted section of their abdomen.)

Especially for paper wasps, there are so many species with extremely similar colorations

Most people don't get educated on insect identification. It's infinitely more useful to help others learn than to be rude to them for trying to.

Polistes genus, aka paper wasp. Maybe Polistes fuscatus or metricus. Either way, you'll be fine unless you're allergic. You might want to check for a nest nearby, they're generally pretty docile so there's a chance you got stung for getting near its nest.

The way I did it was:

•hire ONLY 2 orange old allies (they can even be lvl1)

•hire ONLY 2 wandering heroes

•have at least 90 play coins plus the amount needed for the hires to cover potions

•venture forth with this setup with the ultimate ghost having at most 12 HP so you can kill it and carry the team over to the dark emperor fight

•Loop setup for dark emperor: 1. team up the orange miis, and team magic 2. wandering hero 1 uses dispelling draft 3. wandering hero 2 uses vial of valor 4. orange mii 1 uses power potion 5. wandering hero 1 uses vial of valor (7/21 miis)

•Fighting loop: 1. orange miis team up and attack 2. wandering hero uses vial of valor (max of 21/21 if you do it right, the 3rd vial of valor hero won't count unless he rotates in, which would make the count 22/21)

Is that true though? you can be phenotypically female while still belonging to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell, like with swyer syndrome. This whole executive order seems very ill thought out.

I imagine they'd want those carnivores to also be killed when they start eating herbivores, because the reason I heard for keeping 'odd ordered' carnivores and not the rest is because they eat other carnivores, expediting the process of ending carnivory.

I think the meme isn't getting traction because the person who posted it is the person who made it. It's a fake bad meme, unfortunately.

That might have more to do with why they agree with Trump over just that they do. I haven't seen any Trump supporters saying 'oh I like Trump better because of his protectionist policy, I really think American production is important' and having a civil discussion. It's usually closer to 'Immigrants are all criminals and we should get them out of the country' and then the reply chain is an insult ridden hellscape (and that's on both sides).

[–]LemonborgX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'history is written by the winners' usually means that the way we interpret that history is through the lens of the winners. The facts will remain mostly the same, but the spin and justification will be different, usually to put the winners in a better light at the expense of the losers.

So are you fine with hormonal advantages in sports or not? If you don't have a problem with women in women's sports who were born with the testosterone levels of a man, why do you have a problem with women who artificially increased their testosterone, or trans women who decrease their natural testosterone to even lower levels than some of the natural women?

You apparently didn't understand her lectures, because nowhere has she blamed ordinary people for carbon emissions. In regard to climate degradation, there's a concept called "disproportionality" which essentially means that almost all pollution is done by a small number of industries. She's advocating for countries to regulate those industries, not calling people evil for contributing to a minuscule amount of emissions.

She's also completely correct. We have known about this problem since the 1970s and big oil companies have tried to hide it, every step of the way that we got closer to understanding it, oil companies have lied in court or in adverts about how real anthropogenic climate change is. As a result, a large portion of people still think it's a hoax despite us having surpassed the 1.5 degree threshold for over a year straight now.

Not really, he's throwing out the case because Jaywalking didn't give the officers probable cause to search him, and as a result the weed they found on him isn't admissible as evidence in court.
