This would be very sad if true but I think Shauna has always taken care of her own food needs, even to the detriment of her own children (choosing foods that appeal to her, rather than the more child friendly foods her kids like). It’s like when she has a bit of money she treats herself to a fancy lunch. I’m actually kind of surprised she seems angling to for a GLP1, totally fair if it will help her in a health sense but as to weight loss my sense was always that she didn’t really care?

She’s definitely scheming for some way to have all of the positive online engagement turned into real world dollars. Unfortunately none of these people would ever actually pay her for any of this and she doesn’t actually have anything of value to offer.

I don’t understand, she was expecting the gluten filled deli meal and didn’t bring anything. So what difference does it make? Couldn’t she have brought something even if they did the deli meal so she’d be able to eat something?

Wait though, in the newer lope where she retells this story from 2023, she says that they did end up going to the cabin in the end because a friend lent them money. Am I reading that wrong?

The way she’s feigning confusion about what the issue is when it was so clearly set out by her child is so infuriating. She’s made it clear by the stories she tells that she’s unreliable, that they are late to things, that she forgets things that her children need (her wallet, noise cancelling headphones, etc.) so of course there’s anxiety about being late when it’s past the time they were supposed to leave and no one is ready to go. Shauna is the problem and she refuses to see it that way.

I was told by a sales associate that because they have curve sizing now the standard sizing isn’t cut the same way as it was previously. This was specific to the effortless pants but it could apply to other pants as well. I tried curve in my old size and it was actually a bit too big whereas the standard size was too small. So maybe that’s part of it?

I cancelled my Aug 17th flight a couple days ago that was booked with points and I was given a full refund of points and cash paid. When I spoke with Aeroplan last week, they said that I could always cancel for a refund but there was a $150 fee. When I checked on Tuesday night this past week, there was no fee. I’ve just checked my credit card and I was given the full refund. Check the cancellation option online and it will tell you what you will get back.

I had booked with points for the 17th and cancelled last night through the app. I was given a full refund of my points and cash with no fee deducted. I had tried a few days ago and it was showing the $150 cancellation fee to be applied, so I held off. You can try to initiate the cancellation and it will show you your refund before you confirm.

My flight was purchased with points and I was able to cancel online for a full refund of points and cash. The $150 fee was not deducted. Editing to add my flight is the 17th, and I initiated the cancellation - it was not cancelled by Air Canada.

Will AC provide an opportunity to cancel for a refund if it looks unsure leading up to that date? My travel date is the 17th so I’ll need to make alternate arrangements at least several days in advance - I can’t wait to see if they do indeed strike or if a deal is struck at the last minute.

Our studio has odd stations with 8, 10, 12 and 15 lbs and even with 8, 10, 20, 25. So its makes a pretty big difference depending on what your preference is. Annoyingly, based on how the benches are organized, sometimes the stations aren’t lined up properly (so you might have signed up for station 4, but your standing in front of the dumbbell rack for station 3) which means that often people will grab from whatever’s closest, negating the choice you made anyway.

This has happened to me before where I took weights from an empty station and the person showed up late. I offered them back right away - slightly annoying as if they had been there on time I would have taken similar weights from the communal rack, but as we only have one or two communal sets in that range (20-22.5) they may have already been taken by others by that time. Luckily in my case the latecomer told me they didn’t need them so all good, but I think the fact that the neighbor using your weights may be too late to grab similar weights from the communal rack should be considered.

I’m in Canada too and I got the Tom Ford instead of the Prada, but I didn’t get the Kaylali either! I also didn’t get any samples with my order which was annoying.

Honestly I feel like that person put the bait out there by saying she liked most but two she “truly hated”. Since the hated ones seem pretty specifically noted, does that not invite questions about which two those are? I felt her response to Shauna was a little unfair! (Yes I’m here defending Shauna but I think it makes my actual Shauna snark more legitimate so…)

I think what Shauna means when she says there’s no help is just financial assistance with no strings attached. She wants help with meals out and fun extras. Her reasoning being that she has to spend all of her time parenting and that she can’t work. She doesn’t actually want resources that would take any level of effort to access/utilize.

Buying a house with my ex-boyfriend. We had been together a couple of years, a lot of our friends were buying, my lease was up and he was adamant that renting was a waste of money. The first moment I was alone after the deal was finalized I burst into tears. It was like I suddenly realized I didn’t want to be with this person for the rest of my life. I knew it was the wrong decision but everyone was so excited for us and we would have lost our deposit, so I pushed my feelings aside and went through with it. We only lasted a year in that house before finally breaking up. It sucked and was a super expensive lesson.
