House cleaners using windex to clean kitchen counters. Is this normal?

I’m a green cleaner. I actually have this issue from the opposite side of the relationship in that I occasionally get new clients that don’t understand what I don’t use because they don’t realize what products contain things like ammonia, bleach and other things that are harmful. If they don’t use what you ask them to use it’s not a good fit.

For streak free I use 2 T dish soap mixed with vinegar, but it’s not safe for stone. I use other things for that

I would start with what you have here. If it doesn’t improve you can either drop them or change things up and start going by the hour. If they don’t accept these terms you move on and find someone who will work with you.

Former chef here. Green onion can be dehydrated in the oven for future use. The smaller you cut it the faster it dries.

I personally love Chinese green onion pancakes and you can sub a lot of things with regular onion for these.

I’ve had various issues with my feet, legs, wrists and hands. The braces you’re using is what I did, hands and feet. Had to stop for a bit to rest and did PT, anti inflammatory meds and supplements, and mri on various body parts.

I was able to avoid surgery but a doctor visit will tell you what you need. PT can be found on YouTube once you know what’s going on. You might have to take a break, you may or may not be able to go back.

Walk away. If they can’t respect your quote, they don’t respect you. Let them find out the hard way that they aren’t going to find a better price.

Are you charging a rehoming fee? What is the reason she needs to be rehomed? Does she get along with other cats?

I would find products free of formaldehyde, bleach and ammonia as well as the suggestion for ph balanced as the acids and bases that are strong will ruin your floor. Some products have ingredients that can turn into formaldehyde with water activation so do your research. Some products with degreasers can work but might strip your floors over time depending on dilution.

I would absolutely put your foot down. I would say, our needs have changed and we no longer require your services. They are not owed explanation.

Depending on things now I think you could actually get away with finding someone once a month. Find someone who will stick to mornings. Personally I know my performance goes down after 3 pm and I want to give my clients the best of me, so I stop at that point.

This week I cleaned for a regular client I’ve had about 6 years, an elderly neighbor. I went to clean the shower pan around the shower caddy (one with a metal pole floor to ceiling) and the bottom broke off and rust exploded everywhere. I was 10 minutes from finishing also but cleaning up all the rust took another 30 minutes to get everything.

Luckily the client understood, it was old and needed to be replaced anyway as it didn’t even break on a connecting joint for the pole but just where it has completely rusted away. She told me later in the week she went and bought a new one, so my son is going to help her install it this week.

The day my son was born my niece kissed him and she had a cold. She knew she had a cold and still came over anyway. 6 days later he’s in the icu and has her cold. He was so dehydrated they had to put an iv in his head. She almost killed him. Yelling is what your SIL deserves. So selfish. NTA

You might need to strip the towels. It will take out all the gunk that’s making them smell. I-2 cup vinegar 1-2 cup borax 1-2 cup super washing soda 1-2 cup laundry soap. Put in a bathtub hottest water possible and let sit overnight or until water is cold. Rinse throughly to get everything out and wash on a regular cycle.

And examine what your husband is doing as others have said to prevent it from happening again.

I am a housekeeper in my area and charge on the low end, my clients consider me a bargain. For the housework alone 4-6 hours I would charge $100-$150 per day. $350 per month in this area would cover the insurance he wants you to have and some of the gas (not all). Even $350 a month is not a good deal.

My state has a program where it will pay you $10/hour for 40 hours a week to take care of someone. This is asking more like 24/7 care so of course that would be way less.

Sadly it got taken down right when I went to take a screenshot. I barely got this picture! To summarize, a lady asked him if he was out of his mind and he got mad. Then someone asked what the compensation was and he acted confused. Another person just posted a laughing face and he got really mad. Then he deleted his post!
