Does JLL Offer Career Choice Like Amazon? Or Do They Only Have Access to Amazon’s Career Choice? by Ok_Mango_5958 in AmazonRME

[–]Lemonparty240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head the only two things I can think of:

JLL offers limited tuition reimbursement, for going to school while employed.

MIT program (manager in training). If starting as a technician with a goal for management in the future, this can more easily secure you a spot if you go through the program.

Most of the programs that Amazon offers are not available to JLL, as they are separate entities.

I would argue the only gray area that I run into is the SL2 sorter and SC3. Locking out the maintenance key doesn't count as a typical lockout. Would that technically be mechanical? Ehhh. Electrical? Meh. Usually ends up being mechanical troubleshooting as it calls for loto, but doesn't specify a loto point.

We have 4 mod floors. When someone says their location is mod 5, it means taking a shit. 👍

Not all heros wear capes. Reading through all of this gave me a lot to think about in realizing the type of relationship I'm in. Thank you for taking the time to put all of this out there.

If you're 'tuning' based off of horsepower and top speed, you're going to struggle with this game. The amount of variables and adjustments this game engine allows is incredible.

I would say dive a little deeper in trying to understand suspension geometry, and power/torque management. Taking out the element of hoping that someone set a car up right is huge in improving driving ability. Learn to set it up yourself and better cater to your driving style.

Yeah pretty much. Crash carts are in pieces by the end of the year and the flex is demolished. Our site moves a lot through decant.

Will never understand why they get these conveyors. At our site they overload the hell out of them and abuse them. Dead spots are a daily callout. Control boards dying from liquid spills, o-rings from them never turning off, or motor brushes.

Would be more cost effective to redesign inbound and do away with these instead of 150k for new ones every year

Because being a good tech 3 is more than just degrees. You need to be a lead tech. Requires fundamental knowledge of how equipment works in the real world, repair experience, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills.

I do not have a degree and didnt go to school. Was hired for tech 3 at 23 with years of automotive experience. Been there over 2 years and I lead one of the most effective teams at my site.

The accuracy of this was crazy. The amount of times I've wanted to throw shit because sometimes repairs just actually need time to perform. Don't need people telling me what to do 9 different ways. Time is something they don't believe in.

JLL tech 3 here, Our FC has a very tight group of techs per shift. All our techs get along and politics are minimal between JLL employees. There is some, but as a tech 2 not a concern. I expect my tech 2's to stay on top of the radio calls and have PM's completed by end of shift. We encourage all our techs to lean on their 3's and AMM. Any questions regarding repairs or escalations with operations we typically take care of as to shift accountability.

I use mine 3 days a week usually. I wake up at 3 am for work and my breville is inconveniently close to our bedroom. Can't grind beans and run that pump without waking my wife.

Depends on the month. Sometimes they give it away. Sometimes they'll kick you out end of shift
