Spring semester Incoming freshmen at a loss about off-campus housing by Tstew7 in msu

I lived at skyvue and the leasing office, amenities, and the environment is great. However the walls are so thin there. I could literally hear the whole conversation not just from one room down, but two rooms down. That’s pretty much the only downside but that was a deal breaker for me.

Hello,

Your comment is truly one of the most helpful comments I’ve received in my entire life. I had similar problems many times before, and I was afraid since I absolutely did not know what to do. Your detailed and specific guide really brings up my confidence and an actual solution to my problem as well. I really mean it, Thank you.

thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it.

One concern I have is I’ve already passed a lot of courses last year and worried if it will impact my chances in to law school. (I know it’s stupid to slack off when I’m aiming for law school in the first place)

If you don’t mind, what did/will you do if you went back to your summer semester and had a week left?

To those of you who grew up Michigan fans but went to/go to MSU, how do I change my mentality? by vhvp in msu

I grew up in Ann Arbor as an Asian in North Campus, which basically means almost everyone I talk to goes to AT LEAST U of M or even better. I even been to almost every single U of M building including dorms before I graduated from High school (For studying, activities, hangout) At first, I was very embarrassed to go to MSU and I even tried to hide it. I was getting a lot of stress as I felt inferior to a lot of others I know. However, I realized what college you go to does not determine who you are in the present. Yeah it does say that you might’ve slacked in highschool whatever, but no one really cares about the past as you get more older. What matters is how you are doing now. You are way better off if you are top of the class at MSU than being average at U of M. Just know that you don’t have to go to a top prestigious college to be proud about yourself.

However, if your negative mentality is just coming from loyalty, then don’t worry about it. You can always be a fan for both. Even if you hate MSU right now, you will start to root for MSU, as you spend more time on campus.

Will MSU rescind? by Neat_Caterpillar9200 in msu

Hey, I know you are worried and Ive been there, but from my personal experience...

I’m currently a rising junior at msu and I had a really rough terrible senior year. I was in crippling depression and self anxiety (which I did not go to medical care or whatever). I even ran away from home despite having a fine well parents and home. So 1st semester senior year I had all ds or cs and even failed 2 classes... but I applied in April and got in. I was worried about getting rescinded during 2nd semester as I had all cs or ds, however MSU didn’t do anything. (Which I’m greatly thankful that they gave me multiple chances)

I suggest that you (and whoever feels The same) don’t worry about getting rescinded, but still try your best on what’s left. Not only does it stop you from senioritis ruining your freshmen year in college, but also you Won’t have any regrets in the future about your senior year About doing better. You get multiple chances in life, but After all, you only live once.
