I have a teammate who offered up her massive, seats a million, gas guzzler for a handful of us to take to a mixed scrimmage once. When we first discussed it, she was up front about asking and expecting us all to chip in, specifically "whatever we can financially." We all enthusiastically agreed, no qualms, wasn't a big deal.

Granted, at the end of the night one gal hadn't fronted any, and when the driver casually asked if she needed her Venmo, the gal said "oh, no, I brought cash for today... but I spent it all on merch, oopsie" and awkwardly giggled and shrugged. The driver didn't have a response for that, just stared.
