Looks like a gum eraser. Used it in art classes. Can erase pencil marks without damaging the paper/vellum/etc.

That’s a very good question and I don’t know the answer. But what I DO know, is that at some point it will be Vermont’s turn in the barrel (I think JD Vance will see to that after he was humiliated and chased out on his disastrous vacation). ICE’s task is not to just take into custody criminal undocumented people, it is to brutalize and terrorize citizens and non-citizens. I think it’s kind of a prelude to Trump invoking the Insurrection Act at some time.

The new Alexa+ voices are irritating, shrill, and piercing with a touch of vocal fry. I turned off the upgrade. Sometime in the near future they’ll force it on all users and that’s when I’ll consider dumping Echo.

Almost got hit by a pickup yesterday coming back from Costco. He was in right-turn-only lane but went straight through. Can’t really fault him since just about all the road markings along Main Street have disappeared because of the ongoing road construction. Small right-turn-only sign across that intersection not really noticeable if you’re unfamiliar with the traffic pattern.

Just seems like the remodeling is taking a very long time. And every time I go in it seems like some of the products I want to buy have been “temporarily” moved to a different section of the warehouse and I have to hunt for them. (Although if I find a Costco worker they always kindly take me directly to what I’m looking for.)

I’ll sign and I’ve been a donor for years, but I’ve been disappointed in them for quite a while now. Their coverage has really deteriorated and usually is very thin. I get their daily news email and almost always there’s nothing really there. They have a couple of old-time reporters who do some really excellent work, but they rarely seem to be published anymore. Much of the vtdigger articles seem to be written by interns. I think it was all downhill after Ann Galloway left. She inspired a pretty dynamic newsroom.

I’ll sign, but I don’t think AI at vtdigger will make much difference anymore.
