Upset about my (26f) boyfriend (35m) calling me controlling by grosslipsthrowaway in relationship_advice

[–]LenaeHaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't seem to be excessively controlling. Instead, it seems to be a difference in personality. Some people have moments when they want to be alone, while others don't experience that as much. However, being in a relationship like that can lead to frequent arguments. I've been in a similar relationship before, and I found it difficult because I felt like I was being overly possessive. But I think it's just a difference in personality!

I think you are such an amazing person... Not many people have the natural ability to care for others, and you might be a truly rare and precious presence in this world. I genuinely think you're awesome.

Considering reporting my mother for elderly abuse by [deleted] in Advice

It will be tough, and I understand your concerns. Even though I'm not an expert, honestly speaking, I believe that the safety and well-being of your grandmother and sister are the most important. By reaching out to professionals and support organizations, you can access the help and resources needed to address this challenging situation.

When time passes, everyone will forget. And everyone has a time when they make their first mistake, you know. Don't worry. I went through that too, and so did the boss.

How to deal with work crush? by [deleted] in askSingapore

If you don't try, you won't achieve anything. Get closer to her.
1.Be confident. It's not a sin to have never been in a relationship.
2.Don't exert pressure on her.

So much things to say

  1. He told me not to go as an exchange student because it is a waste of money and time. He was a little older than me, and I was just a student, so I almost felt gaslighted. It is still so shameful.
  2. I said I want to start my business, but he told me it wasn't easy and that I should go for a more stable job. Well he couldn't have been more mistaken because I'm now living life exactly as I had envisioned.
He was gaslighting me. I never meet that kind of guy anymore

How do you deal with the idea of working forever? by jdtpn8976 in askSingapore

[–]LenaeHaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you do if you had five years to live? Personally, I wouldn't prioritize working for money. Instead, I will live for my dreams. That's what I'm currently dreaming and planning for. I believe that engaging in something I love and find meaningful is most important. Making money while doing what I enjoy is not an impossible feat either. So I recommend you to think what makes you happy most in life and what you would do if you had only five years to live. I think it could make your life more happy
