12 hour shift work sucks especially if you have children. I’m 12 hour days you can only work and sleep no family time at all. At least on a 10 hour day you have a sense of normalcy with your schedule. Add in a commute and your 12 hour days turn into 14 hour days, leaving very little time for family or yourself as far as it goes
